Famous carrot shops I guess if you ask around will be able to know, a lot depends on how you present yourself during viewing and negotiation.

Just do your homework before you start hunting for your bike and DO NOT let your excitement blurred your judgement and principle.

I once tested a salesperson on his honesty till he shooed me away declaring not selling the bike to me cause I wanted to know whether he was going to keep the verbal promises or not. All he said was 'everything will be as what I tell you, you just sign and pay up first. :slapforehead:

Bukit Merah area, I'll not reveal the shop name as I think its the problem with the salesman only.

He still got the cheek to ask me to set realistic expectation, my rebuttal to him was, cash is mine you do not teach your customer how to spend their money. LOL.....

Anyway just for clarification, I did not asked for any discount and was ready to deal on the spot after the 2nd viewing. God knows he just pushed away a genuine buyer.

I'm a non Singaporean here but most of my good riding memories are here cos of my good Singaporean manager who has brought me around since I had my first 2b bike. Now I'm on class 2 liao. Long time ago he already warned me of 5 shops in that area that is not worth going. So I'll just go to other shops to scout.

I'm with E. Bike shop at the east at the moment. Apart from the salesman cocky can drive European sports cars, the fact is their used bikes are in v good condition. I only go back for the aftersales cos the mechanic good. But at the same time I really hate paying that company money to give them profit.

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

thanks for the reply guys.

how about global motor pte ltd or Hong nan motor? any bad reviews for this two shops?

Global Motor from my experience is quite good as the salesman is not pushy (maybe getting fixed comm)

Paperwork is detail and clearly written on your agreement slip.

If you have to ask at class 2, you'll get carrot irregardless of what people here tell you.

I can highly recommend Hong Nan! I have purchased several bikes from them before. I recommend them to everyone who asks. Drop me a PM if you want to discuss.

ZZR600 2nd hand

GSXR600 new

CB400S4 2nd hand

PW50 :-) new

They have also serviced the above bikes as well as my Ducati 1098,1198, KTM200. Always helpful and most importantly, if anything is a concern it was resolved quickly and easily!

Cheers

It doesn't matter what the question is, the answer is more power!

I'm also looking for a class 2 bike now.... not my first bike but first change in 10 years

Never ever go bike shopping alone. Bring along a voice of reasoning hahaha. If you do end up alone, don't agree on any deal just yet no matter what. Go sgbikemart and assess market rate for your bike. Also take note, a good bike shop isn't always the one with the best price or lowest interest. It's also about after sales services

lol bro why cant people ask at class 2 ? and no Its my first bike I used to ride krr and thn on to s4, both bikes were bought from my friend.

as class 2 cost way more and im considering on which shops should I get it from as I nvr buy from shops before,so I decided to get more professional opinion.

you might be right that I will be get carrot but so ? no harm asking, who noes I may get some good tips.

and your reply is irrelevant to the question I asked bro.

Actually you don't need to worry for aftersales service now, that come after the bike. What is needed is to go get yourself a bike first, and then check out the forums here, see which shops are the ones most riders go to. Normally you can get your answer this way.

As for getting a class 2 bike, it's just like scouting for any bikes. Do the normal checks on the extent of wear and tear items. Or if you're really hardworking, you can dwell on specific model bike problems and from there check the potential bikes you're setting your eyes on.

No bike is perfect bro, even new ones, you never know when your first ever class 2 experience can be ruin by a faulty switch or fork seal. That's where warranty comes and I do know of som shops that are just a pain when it comes to these matter.

Depends on the warranty, if you buy from agent, the warranty usually covers everything, 3rd party ones usually covers just recalls. Many things would void the warranty anyway.

so many choices in Class 2....you have to ask yourself what is the bike for and then focus on the type of bike....a few threads have different bike type discussion so that helps.
