Wondering if anybody has a watch they love? I need a new watch and would love some suggestions from people

$800-$1000 but would like to spend less

Depending on what style you like. Check out welder by u-boat. Or you could get a decent quartz from Tissot. Can also try look at this Japanese brand called rxw. I personally like the hummer model.

 

All these should fall within your budget.

Nice watches man but not quite what I'm looking for. I've seen a couple of nice secondhand Omegas I like but still having trouble deciding.

Vostok, invicta and orient makes pretty good and decent mechanical watches for that price range.

For your budget range, check out Red Army Watches. They have a few branches around Singapore and deal with movement watches. Vostok, Moscow Classic are a couple of the many brands they carry.

 

My first watch was a Moscow Classic. I've since upgraded to a Panerai. =P

Seiko. I have 11 working watches, of which 9 are Seikos. But my favorite is a restored turtle case 6309 7040. Cheap, reliable and a classic of it time, just like my TA200.

i like casio.. go for low end at mustafa.. a watch looks best when its owner loves it

You can look for preowned Omega watches like Speedmaster or Seamaster. Many seller are collecters and their watch condition are mint. Most importantly, the prices are pretty alright too.

i even sold my 6105 and all my 6139s

too many watches. No time to wear.

Retired much of my Seiko Ladies, as I got very fat, and the ladies size watches looks horrible on me. Even when I have them loose, they still seem to sink into my fatty wrist. So I was buying bigger face watches.

 

Retired much of the Swatch and Nike watches. And much of my Casio are lost or given away.

 

Seiko nowadays can be very cheap, made in china wans. But they are still looking decent enough for work wear.

 

Left to right, Cheapo Seiko to the more expensive wan at less then $300.

 

The ladylike Casio is because someone complained I wear too manly watches while wearing my Sarong Kebayas and Cheongsums which are too errmmm......

 

Okay....so I purplely go to Mustafa to get a ladylike Casio.

 

The peach colour Casio is a Solar powered. (Not sure how true but well, its a novelty)

 

The last is a latest addition. Luminox Blackout Chrono.
