Confirm a date & let me knw. If I'm able to make it, I'll post up. :thumb:

Bro, you were the one who had one arm in sling at PG on 28 Oct Track day? You were wearing a blue inner suit?

I was there for the trackday too. How is your wrist now?

Ride safe.

Ouch... but you still young so you will heal fast.

What tyres are you using and what was the pressure setting? I take it you were riding a TZM?

I saw the scratch marks at Turn 5... I think you went in too early which got you too deep onto the inside of the turn where there is a slight depression where all the rainwashed loose stuff collects. That may have cause your front wheel to lowside on you.

Need to actually 'delay' your turn into Turn 5, cannot follow the curve, need to hold off and then go in for the apex (marked by a fresher darker patch of tar) then aim for ripple strips at the exit up the slope.

Unless you had DOT race tyres which need to warm up... standard DOT tyres normally generate heat and grip very fast.

battlax bt39.

pressure settings were fine i guess.

during semi-wet weather the confidence will always be there. haha

but the dry ones are real tricky.

most recent timing was 2.18 :(

i need LOTS OF COACHING.

care to give me a hand?

BT39s are good tyres. Need to bring down the pressures to 20 - 22 psi for track.

Everybody's got to start somewhere. That was my timing when I first rode my CBR1000RR on PG the first few times.

On a small bike, anything the size of DRZ400SM or smaller, I consider small bike, smoothness of transition from one corner to another is critical. The lesser you brake and the longer you can stay on the throttle .. the faster will be your timing.

Meaning, your linings from the exit of one corner and the path to take to the entry into the next should already be preplanned in your head, not decide when you see the corner approaching.

Ask Amba to teach you the no brake drill, the easiest way to learn how to take a corner fast and safe. I am half the world away.

On my DRZ, I only touch the front brake slightly for Turn 5 and before BMW.. the rest is only downshift one gear, its the only way I can keep up with the other sports bikes and the likes of Shah Oli on his son's DRZ..

me personally, never use no brakes drill before. even my very first track session, which i went with u....u brought me for 5 laps, i was breaking everywhere.

RESPECT, i cant say whether he has potential at this point. however, as a rider, he should know all technical aspects of his bike inside out by now. which i dun think he is paying attention too....u have hell to learn

the next time, i go to track with u(RESPECT), get ready for a hard knock on the helmet.
