MOTORCYCLE

 

Minimum safety requirements for track hirer to practice on the track.

 

1. Leather jacket or touring jacket with shoulder and elbow guard.

 

2. Jeans

 

3. Full leather gloves

 

4. Leather shoes which cover ankles

 

5. Full face approved helmet.

 

You could go on track with the above minimum gear but i wouldn't recommend it.

Make sure your brakes work, bike not leaking and your fluids are within recommended range.

Bought new or old? New tyres have wax..

Wax on tyres should not be a big issue. By the time we make our way to Pg the tyres the surface should be scrubbed. Only need to gradually build up the pace on track and after a few laps it will be at optimal grip.

But my question is can I use ducati monster with stock handle bar on the track? it's riding position is upright. Also i've never tried track, even never seen it before.

From what I feel as a track newbie riding a Versys 650.. Hardly any powerful bike to begin with. I'm riding it bone stock. As of now, my bike is outperforming me.. Not the other way around.

theres many naked bike on track n r very fast riders. no worries. go youtube n search n do some research. newbies always have e tendency to over push n crash. ride within ur limits n comfort zone. do not anyhw change ur riding line. if u make a mistake, theres always another lap to do it.

 

best is can get a rider n guide u in e track for a few laps

Don't worry too much. Go there have fun. You are not going to do a qualifying lap in motogp or something. So take the opportunity to get to know the bike's limits and the track then push for a better lap time. Then you can do something like the pic below

Later some rich guy give u whatever bike u want with whatever lot u want and ask u to put in a fast lap but u cannot.. Then shame.. Lol. That's my thinking.. So even if I get overtaken on a versys which is hardly designed for a track, I got nth to be ashamed about ma. Haha. Plus, the only person to beat is yourself..

 

Other people can knee down on my bike but my knee is nowhere near the ground.. Just go and enjoy yourself. Put your ego at home.
