Today was jam, but at least the fun I had made up for the angst.

Was at the junction of Kim Seng Road turning into Havelock and next to me was a dude riding a Harley Road King. I looked at his bike and he looked at mine. I can hear his engine idling, the usual loud "PO-TA-TO" sound that a Harley always makes.

When the light turn green, I floored it. He probably was surprised. How can a Shadow beat his Road King? He overtook me swiftly and by then, we were already doing between 55 - 60 km/h on Havelock Road, leaving other cars and kups behind.

On the way home just now along some residential road. Came across 2 chiobus in a Honda Civic who did not know how to move their car to the side to allow others to pass on a road that became a one lane cos of cars parked on HER side.

For Heaven's sake... if your lane has a parked car... you stop behind the car and let the oncoming traffic go past first and not overtake the parked car and do a head on with the oncoming traffic!!! :faint:

Ends up with a Mexican Standoff. Two cars facing each other... headlights to headlights and nobody wants to give way. Old uncle in the other car gesticulating with hands and fingers telling the lady driver what he thought of her ancestors.

I had to pull to the side and signalled her to reverse abit and move to the open space on the left to let the others pass first but she decided to try to do 3 point turn stunt!!!!

Traffic then started to pile up and everyone started horning and the old uncle came out of his car and gesticulated even more.

I squeezed my way out of there coz I suspect the scene was going to get uglier.

Suspect the woman driver was actually a blonde who dyed her hair black. o_O

Congratulations on getting a new job :cheer:

Yeah, Raffles Place is hard to park bike. Either pay a lot or be an employee working in the building (eg Ocean Building)

riding home from work (tuas to buona vista) along aye..

riding through the slow traffic in between lane 1 and 2.. i gotten tired of following behind cars after passing by jurong east exit...

i was a distance behind a vespa with an extremely tall wind shield.. (it's as tall as the rider..~ ). I believe the rider is a lady, becos i saw her reflection as she looked into it to see if there's anyone behind.. she was also riding in between lane 1 and 2... wasn't going very fast, only about 80km/h.. the traffic condition was better after clementi ave 2 exit, but she was still proceeding in tat manner..

As expected, the pace of the cars in lane 1 was pciking up. she kept her speed but continued to remain in between lanes.

i was horrified as i watched the car on lane 1 overtake her from the right side...

a rider going in between traffic should keep all the danger factors in front him/her, rather than letting the danger creep up from behind.. but she prefered to keep her pace.. it will be scary for me though..

Yeah. i nearly forgotten what i wanted to type already.

Let me rant,

You uncourteous drivers don't wait till u get into an accident before u know your mistakes.

What the hell is wrong with drivers nowadays? You're on my right lane behind me, i need to change to your lane, and instead of slowing down to allow me change lane smoothly you sped up and restricted me. I encountered this almost every 5~10mins of my ride.

Black sheep drivers in Mercedes & Corollas are the culprits.

Overtook a black RVF 400 yesterday evening, when I approached the KJE to BKE (towards PIE) left hander turn off. Was on the inner lane as I took the turn.

Next thing I knew is the RVF overtakes me by the OUTSIDE and at quite a speed too. Then as we headed towards PIE along the BKE, he slows down and let me overtake him and follows me all the way till the Telecoms satellite tracking station.

He then accelerates past me (am doing 90 - 96 kmh), weaves in between a few cars and takes the left hander to join the PIE towards the city.

To the guy riding the black RVF.... please value your life more. Seems like you trying to instigate me to race with you on the streets. That is something I won't do.

Try it on someone else who might have the same mentality as you.

Simply because...

1. I value my life and my licence.

2. Public roads are not kept free of gravel, sand and oil or fuel spills unlike a race track.

3. Although the tyres on my bikes are DOT approved race tyres... I have not set them to track pressures and they are not warmed up at all for me to take corners low and fast.

4. My ego has been left at the tracks so I don't have a need to prove a point when riding on the roads.

Ya, if your intent of overtaking me in a corner from the outside lane, was to impress me with your riding skill... I am most impressed and would be even more impressed if you can do that to me on the track coz not many people can do that.

Having said that, I must also say you are most stupid also.

The outside lane of all expressway turnoffs are a deposit centre for spilt diesel from buses and lorries, sand and gravel or other road debris... that is why I take the inside lane.

Your EGO makes you so focused on overtaking me from the outside that you do not realise the kind of risks you are subjecting yourself to.

Am sure it must have been a great boost to your ego and image when you told your other biker kakis last night, that your RVF 400 'eat' a CBR1000RR in a corner... somemore overtake from the outside. WOW!!!

I don't know why even when it's school holidays, the traffic is still heavy. My rear license plate was caught with another car and nearly got ripped off. I had to do my countersteering manoeveur at the same time 'cos I the little black car in front of me wanted to cut in to get out of the garbage truck's way. I think it was my fault. I should have given way to the little black car and blow all of them away after that.

Eh....got time let me overtake you on the outside using my kupkia, how? Ha ha....I think only on the road got chance. On the track it's you who is overtaking me from the outside :thumb:

Seriously, dunno will that rider ever see this post cuz regulars at this forum probably recognised you from your bike photos you put up.

By the way, did that RVF hang bike or grip his tank like mad? :cheeky:

Anyways, couple of days ago, from Mandai Road to SLE after a T junction towards Woodlands (it's a nice RH like T4 and a short straight followed by a LH like T11), I was behind a white old car. I admit that I do take lines when there's no cars or bikes around me (habit lah!!!) and am I surprised that the car actually took racing lines too :faint: Very nice!!! But not reckless speeding madness.

Maybe his other car is a track car stashed away in a pits at Sepang.....

Hope to see more of such skilful but yet mild mannered drivers, unlike the stupid Merc taxi that had to zoom past me last Sat evening on BKE to PIE Jurong at speed like 120km, only to jam brake like a pu55y for the LH roundabout bend towards PIE Jurong o_O
