As much as I can.. I don't go to the track with the thoughts of going to buang.

I ride on a track because it is a safe place to ride fast, break speed limits without worrying about cops or losing my licence, no mad taxidrivers, when I overshoot a corner... it is a gravel or sand pit.. not a bus stop, kerb or oncoming car. I go to the track to sharpen my riding skills and enjoy my bike. I don't push my luck or my abilities.

But if you go to the track with the intent of breaking the lap records... then be prepared to buang. The fastest way one can go around a corner is at a speed which is on the verge of crashing.

Choice of bike for PG?? I have seen 400 cc bikes blowing the crap out of 1000 cc bikes (me included), I have seen supermotards go through corners like everyone else was standing still, I have seen 250cc two strokers leave 600 cc bikes smelling smoke.......... what you looking for??

well, the track is a great place to sharpen ur skills n ride fast....but there is always a possibility of crashing.....as i've never rode sports bike b4 that's why asking for opinions. of coz with better skill u can out corner + out ride other bigger cc bikes. i just thinking as a beginner's point of view on a bike that is good to start with, repair costs and stuff.....

hmm....maybe an RVF or GSX 400??

maybe u can bring me ride there one day when i get a bike:sweat:

I know of 3 bikes that laid down in the run off gravel area during the first session.

No injuries to anyone though... that is what makes riding on a track so great.. so much safer than the streets. Saw 2 enter the gravel when they overshot but did not lay the bike down. I guess every one wants to push their limits.. but its got to be done one step at a time.

Bike can replace parts and respray... the important thing is... you are OK.

To get away with superficial damages considering you were topping 180 at the approach..count your blessings.

You will be back again... I am sure of that. Its in the blood.

Heal fast and see you soon. Take care Bro.

Was asking NoLogicOne if he was going to PG tomorrow too.. told me his wife would alienate him if he did. Me going with Tashi, Ken, AT and Chilly tomorrow morning. I must be nutz.

Today went to PG with Ken, AT, AT's friend, Tashi and Chilly the cameraman.

Amazingly... only about 10 bikes on the track.

Bikes down at BMW and Turn One. Fortunately no injuries to those involved.

Some were newbies to the track... guess they pushed too hard. It is easy to go fast on the straight parts but it is the corners that gets you.

Maybe a safer to learn for newbies is to do the 'No brakes drill'. Fastest way to learn which is the right gear to take the corners, and carry good corner speeds. Once comfortable with entering the corners in the right gear.. then start going faster and use the brakes to assist the engine braking if you think you are too fast.

Dunno if this might be applicable to all newbies but it sure worked for me coz now I don't find myself entering corners way too fast.. coz if I did... tapping on the front brakes will slow me down enough to let the engine braking takeover.

Me thought he would have problems handling the Yamaha in wet race for the first time. But like the commentators said, the rain is a leveler. All machine advantages are neutralised and it is really the skill of the rider that counts.

Guess Rossi proved his point. Gotta salute the guy.

an incident juz happen to me which disappointed me, why still got such i immature riders in spore.....

as i was sick over the weekend, i was at my wife's hse to rest n recover, so i park my bike over at her MSCP at SENGKANG......on sat, since i am not ridin, i lend my haya to wife's BIL (bro in law- sub rider) to let him run some errands.

as he return afterwards, he parked my haya beside a WHITE-RED Y125 cub kia at the same MSCP. Then when i lend him my haya again for the nite, when he return to get my haya, there's a hole right in the center of the rider's seat. we suspect vandalism, but not by the WHITE-RED Cub Kia. of cos i was pissed......

then 2day (sun), my wife' BIL return my haya in the afternoon. later at nite, when i was about to go out, as i approach my haya in the same MSCP, i saw these two indian a****** (no offence, i not racism) actin suspiciously, messing wif my bike, examining n touchin my pipes, as if they gettin to no good..... i shouted at them, they quickly get away on the WHITE-RED Cub Kia which engine already runnin, laughing loudly as they get away.......

i was pissed and disappointed that spore will still haf eye-sore, itchy hands farkers like them...... jealous of other bikes, vandalism, treatin it like a game, they dun feel shame, nv tot of wat comes ard, goes ard...... their bike might haf the same fate or worse

i hope that they get caught soon by police, cos if i caught them, they will be in deeper trouble beside ordering them to pay for damaging my seat..... or if other pple catch them, they will suffer the worst...... :nono: :nono: :nono:

was driving my dad's previous car (subaru legacy) then stopped at this traffic light. cant remember which one.

this civic vti (the ah beng's favourite) came beside me on my right (i was on the left most lane on a 3-lane road). can see lah..all the "turbo meter", put an exhaust pipe as big as a hydraulic piston. the driver, some young fella, looked at me & gave that "look at my car! wanna try me?" look.

cant be bothered with him as it was late & road blocks might just be ahead.

i heard a very nice sounding car that was approaching the traffic light. not a common sound,so it couldnt be an evo or WRX..

true enough...turned to my right & saw a purple diablo stopping right beside the civic on HIS right..hahaaa...

needless to say who won the "contest"...the fella really let the civic "kan4 bu1 dao4 che1 we3i deng1". really thankful to the lambourghini for puncturing that young punk's ego...

even i could beat that fella to the next traffic light. he must be thinking that a legacy is some weird 1.6 litre car eh? afterall, legacys are not that common...

moral of the story...dont look down on someone. there is always someone better around.

Don't mess with old farts. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.

Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Sometimes I think parking in a Multi-storey Car Park (MSCP) has its own disadvantages. It is too secluded but the good part is the bike is not exposed to the weather.

I stay in a little HUDC estate.. very few bikes... all rich people. Many Camrys and Mercs.

I think the whole estate of 7 blocks... there are only 9 bikes that I know of.

At my parking lot which has 10 slots.. only me and 2 other bikes are parked.

So far so good... nobody disturb the bike, although I never cover the bike since day one. I oso never display the season parking coupon.

Sometimes I think the blinking red light on the meters when the HISS is armed, is a deterrent coz it looks like the bike has an alarm system fitted.

i agree with raptor..... although it would protect against the elements.... it is too secluded.... even for those MSCP that are just beside HDB flats... sometime i can also see "suspicious" characters loitering around even at night.... at times i even resort to just standing there for a few minutes and just stare at them till they walk away..... who knows what they are up to right??
