I chanced upon this thread some time back. Was surprised at some of the things on the road. As i scrolled through the pages i realized there were many case examples of road bullies and how some riders avoided close shaves etc. A consequence was that i got a bit desensitized to such things. As i ride, i kinda took all the incidents on the road in my stride more easily, thinking, "hey! i think i read of a worse close shave on that chatterbox thread!". I finish about 50 pages already, whenever i having a break, or surfing net, a few pages a day.

Anyway... today while riding, stupid dog run across the road while i cornering into the expressway. Cute dog, but not so cute if i didn't brake in time. Vigilance saves lives.

not only that, u might land urself on e floor as well.

btw i saw a road kill oso dog along the NSH over e wkend when i rode up to sepang. so sad :weep:

They say when you see an animal in your path..the best way to avoid it is to aim for it with your horn blasting.

Chances are the animal will avoid you.... provided it is not deaf.

PS - Does not work with the monitor lizards at PG track. Confirm they are deaf coz I have run over them before.

There are. But they're little fruit bats unless, they're the bigger ones from the Night Safari?

:faint:

Even in the trees planted at the car parks between HDB blocks are bats roosting in the day time.

Try getting up at 6 AM before the sun rises and watch the trees and you can see them returning to roost.

I think this is a case of you crashing into the bat and not the other way round. You are already in its path. A lot of help it's sonar ability will do when it wanted to siam but you bang into it...

You can put up a want to buy ad in garage sales, and also pick up the phone book and call up the bike shops. They will entertain you if they have one in their shop. Good luck... it's a good bike.
