Sorry to ruin this thread but today when I was riding my Shadow Aero to and from work 2 sets of pick up truck drivers irk me off.

 

Morning (to work)

 

Was riding on Belmont Road to get to Holland Road when this pick up truck driven by this person of Indian features came out of the minor road and didn't even look at the STOP sign :mad:

 

Almost ran me over!!!

 

Even when I horn, he almost went forward and then gestured that he's sorry that he moved forward. Fine. BUT, when we reached the end of Belmont Road to get to Holland Road, he was behind me. That's still ok until he kept trying to inch forward, looking at the traffic and not at me, in front of him.

 

1st opportunity to move off, I did.

 

Evening (to home)

 

Was on River Valley Road, coming from city and heading towards Liang Court and Clemenceau Avenue when this pick up truck came out from one of the small lanes on the left (probably where Liang Court is) and tried to cross over the road to reach the legal u-turn place.

 

Problem. The u-turn queue is long. This pick up truck wanted to try and queue from across the road by blocking 2 lanes!!!! :slapforehead:

 

I was on one of the lanes and I had to countersteer and horn so that @$#@!$#-er can slower down. I barely squeezed in between the pick up truck and the car that was already queueing to turn!!! :gun:

 

The rest of the way home, my adrenaline was pumping and my heart beating so fast.

 

I wonder, what's wrong with these drivers, how come they don't use common sense when riding?

Ever wonder why they call it common sense when if fact...it is not common at all?

 

You survived because you anticipated and your situational awareness is high. Some new riders get into trouble coz they do not practise this.

Yesterday I went up to the mountains to fish for trout.

Happened to walk past a small pine tree with a robin's nest. When I accidently bumped the tree whilst trying to peep inside the nest to see if there was anyone home... guess what popped up??

Whatever you did mate, regardless of the merits of the discussions for or against your actions, the bottom line was you put your pillion in danger. Its one thing to play while you're alone, its another thing altogether when someone trusts you with their life when they climb onto your bike. I did something like you, and my pillion was pissed. I never did the same thing after that again. I hope you get my point...

Ermm..

I saw two bikes and 1 taxi in the accident area ...

Taxi damage on its right rear..

There's 1 rs125 white/orange at the rd shoulder.. wif alittle damage on its right side..

I cant recognize other bike on my right.. because quite chui already...

And the sad thing is.. there's a person covered wif white platic sheet lying on the ground....

Yeah was with thatone on CTE at that time too all of us saw also...... :cry:

 

I didnt get to see the bike i saw the white sheet 2 helmets and a sports shoe... :cry:

 

But saw the taxi on roadshoulder if its the taxi drivers fault i hope he rots in hell........

Today, countless cars cut my lane due to them overtaking from the left as the rightmost lane is hogged by slower cars...irritating man...

 

Today, met a taxi who really signals and wait for me to pass before trying to lane change although there is a huge gap between me and the car infront...i gave way and he waved...made my day after all the inconsiderate drivers i encountered today...

The word is sense of responsibility.

 

Not very easy to live with the life long guilt nor explain to the loved ones, if your pillion should die in the accident which resulted coz you were recklessly "playing" with another vehicle on the road.

 

Seen that happen to a friend before. Up till today, 23 years later, he is still remorseful.

 

 

totally agreed man.. with a pillion behind i guess even if the most unreasonable riders/drivers pissed me off i will juz hum behind or to other lanes man.. if anything unfortunate happen to the pillion, u will regret for the rest of ur life.. whats the point of winning a so called 'race' man...

tonight i saw a huge jam at cte towards amk ave 5. started from amk ave 1 when there's like three cars collided. two SUVs and a car.

then there's ambulance and a long trail of cars leading all the way back to balestier exit..

luckily i was on the other side of cte.
