don't u think non-SG riders are quote reckless on the road..? i can understand if i'm there, and they ride like that, but not on our roads man.. :(

i believe singapore drivers are the more reckless ones. during my weekend day trip to melaka, i find that malaysian plate drivers do give way to anything which is faster than them on the right lane. whereas, singaporean registered cars refuse to budge, increase their speed and when i do get pass them, they'll cut back into my lane and start flashing their high-beam. normally, i'll just open up full throttle till they disappear from my side mirrors, provided i havent passed pagoh area. haha.

Due to impatience and poor throttle management whilst in the corner.. I crashed at the track last night.

The track is safer than our public roads, all the more reason for protective gear when riding on the roads.

Please wear the essential protective equipment or it can be a very painful affair if you go down. The importance of a good pair of gloves with armour and a full face helmet cannot be over emphasised.

By the way, I am perfectly alright.. thanks to the leathers. The bike is also perfectly alright thanks to the sliders and hand guards. Not only was the rider wearing protective gear...so was the bike. :thumb:

The pictures below should serve as a warning to those who like to wear open face helmets and gloves without armour.

PS - the small armour piece on the palm of the glove took the brunt of the impact.

If the pics can educate someone and prevent him from getting his teeth knocked out or the skin and flesh from his hands ground off... its worth it.

Go for it.

Sorry, can someone explain to me how do I know whether the gloves are with armour or not? And how much does one cost approximately?

Thanks!

judging from the condition of ur gloves. it can be quite serious if you DIDN'T wear ur gloves.

PS: you have must spent a bomb on ur protection suits?

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

already did. he laughed it off. i guess the real way for him to learn is indeed getting his teeth knocked out and going for a major skin surgery will wake him up.

yup i felt insulted too. especially when he said, "you're (me) just riding a 400cc bike, i'm riding a liter bike. why spend so much on jackets and stuffs? you buy LAB gloves suah!". as if he didnt have to go through 2A.

yup, to his damn bloody eyes, i'm a dumbass too. i'd like to see who's the dumbass after scraping some skin on the tar.

plus the reason why he didnt want to wear gloves is he somehow enjoy digging for gold in his nose during his rides.

bro you can check out regina. rjays are good jackets with armour plus they dont cost a bomb (i used to own one, now upgraded my jacket already. hehe) and gloves too.

no need to get those super expensive ones. the gloves i'm using is 8 months old, cost $40, stinks abit but i'm very thankful for it. cos back in march, i was involved with an accident. and if i wasnt wearing my gloves, i would have trouble trying to do anything with both palms.

good luck in your search!

See my glove? See the carbon fibre looking thingy on the lower palm, that's a hard piece of plastic which is part of the glove which actuall took alot of the impact.

Most gloves have these plastic things on the knuckles but you would want to get those with palm protection too.

Gloves are by RS Taichi, $120 from Motoworld. And if you think that is carbon fibre... am sorry to say then the gloves won't be that cheap.
