last few days while reading paper, just realised LTA has legalised the petrol bicycles on the road. These bicycles with speed upto 60km/h are not allowed on pavement and the rider only need to where a helmet and NO training required.

siao... like that no wonder everywhere I go see petrol bicycle, some with HID light some more.... with wet weather like now, they with no training like us how to do e-brake at 60 if needed in the rain? :sian:

i think LTA will ban it again after some serious accidents happens.

look at how some of the cyclists ride without a due care for other vehicles on the road.

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive

hahahaha.dis jus made my day aft wat i saw while comin out frm my cp.hurhur

****************************

jus nw while riding off frm cp

day day bfor my sis haf told me dat a num of kitties have been squished & squashed by god knows which vehicle.n i was like god meh?hw come i nvr c.n i rly got my wish. was coming out den saw alot of red minced meat on de ground.still can tahan.skali wanna turn out frm cp gt HALF a freaking head of a kitty.ok.dis time rnd cannot tahan.goosebumps all over & nearly wanna cry  damn these drivers.

cats are adorable but undeniably slow creatures...

i nearly ran into a cat when wanted to park my bike. it just stood there, looking at me, STUNNED. i off engine, made some calls, then the cat ran off ... *reaction like darn slow hehes* ..

half an hour later, the same cat is still near my bike ... i started my engine, let it warm up, blow2, and the cat is still nearby.. just fidgeting slightly .. luckily i check bfore i move back, if not i hit the cat's head already ... huhu

oh ya! not forgetting, in the morning, exit clementi from PIE, wanna turn left towards ngee ann poly that side, SUDDENLY DOG DASH ACROSS THE ROAD.. i scream not because i was scared i may run over the dog, but scared that the dog will come bite me ! heeees~

***

YA KNOW, i was wondering...

few years back there were many cases of accidents involving cyclist, then they kinda sort of build this pathway specially for cyclist only. in th future, would we see the government build 1 or 2 lanes SPECIFICALLY for motorcyclists only? if im not wrong in malaysia there are lanes specially for bikes right?

***

so just now whilst riding, after exiting PIE at tampines, my horror! i signalled, lane change to the right ... looked in front ... OMG ! almost every car trying to lane change ... those on left lane wanna go right, those on right wanna go left ... the horror! so i just guai2 and keep in lane, after all the cars stop already then i squeezed to the front.

and at AYE, the congestion was zzz ~ car on lane 1 wanted to lane change, car on lane 2, directly beside the car on lane 1, also wanted to lane change, they would collide if they're reaction were few seconds late, with me, sandwiched in between !

anyway, after my parents are okay with me riding, i find that suddenly the bike is behaving fine ... not so smooth due to the blocking at rpm5, but just ... easy ... they even scold me for riding with slippers.. hehes... gonna invest in some gear soon i guess ... :cheeky: hari raya faster come ! hehes ....

Yesterday I was riding to try and get my signal light repaired...somehow the right signal isn't coming on, and the left signal...takes a long time to start flickering. I was riding along Sin Ming Avenue (from AMK Ave 6), turning into Sin Ming Drive, then turn into the first road on the left towards Sin Ming Road. As I turned, a white Merc cab turned from the other direction into the road right ahead of me...even though it was my right of way...and then he e-brake. Well, needless to say I had to brake also. Good thing I was eying that bugger. So folks, stay alert on the roads! ESPECIALLY when traffic isn't heavy!

Uh oh... you're right. Rempit in training.

So previously these kids who're usually wearing their baseball caps high on their heads, hanging around in void decks with their skank female friends, strumming their guitars and singing bad rawk songs off key, while having their uglified BMX bikes strewn all about.....

.... Now they can have 60kph petrol powered bicycles? Bad, bad, bad.

But maybe if more of them get run over by cars or lorries while trying to show off their stunts to their skanks? Or maybe they lose control and fall on their non-helmeted heads first?

That might be a good thing?

What do you think?

Discuss. :deal:

don't know why it gets legalized that way...maybe somebody well connected is bringing them in? anyway, i'll steer clear of creating any bad karma here...just hope that most people will have some common sense to protect themselves and be safe on the roads with these things.

first of all, there's one more road user on the road that I gotta watch out for. Hmmm quite skeptical abt the ability to brake the motorised bicycle... travelling at let say 40km/hr... nid a much better braking system...

bicycle chassis with "engine"... isn't it too light? plus the tiny tyre? spoke rims?

I think should let them take lesson if they wanna ride on a motorised bicycle. Proper road education, road etiquette etc... probably a CLS "2C" license?

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Yeah. Petrol-engine, 60 kph, sh1tty brakes, no rider training (possible Rempit Jr at the seat), and no lights, no regulations....

The road is about to get a lot more dangerous soon.

Can I share my riding experience while doing Prac 6 today?

Well, I was the last bike of a convoy of 7 bikes, inclusive of the 2 instructors. I was keeping a safe distance from the bike in front of me cause he was quite unstable and keep swaying from left to right, plus he always forgot to turn off his signal. Suddenly, from the right, this yellow taxi overtook me and wanted to squeeze in between my bike and the bike in front of me. The instructor tulan and honk the taxi and he ease off.. Scaryyy sia..

But I truly truly truly enjoyed my very first virgin on the road!!! :cheeky::cheeky::cheeky:
