thanks bro. i think crazy is one thing. irrationality and their consistent such riding behavior throws me off when i try to unds why they ride that way. a msian friend tells me riding that way is a "survival skill" in msian traffic and "there is no time to brake, only time to siam", which is probably the only thing that i could explain with now.

 

Anyway, since I know the habits of these Msian kups inside out after riding among them for so long...all I can say is, never give them face, there's always one of these d!pshits with an inferiority complex. One such incident is that this JB rider wanted to show off his skill and overtook me aggressively, I returned the favor and beat him at his own game, bugger wasn't happy.

 

honestly i dont have energy to go after such busturds anymore. some ppl not happy want to play till the end one.

speaking of msian kup, can anyone explain why will they even want to cut bikes with such aggression at all cost?

below is some consistent behaviour i observed:

 

1. i ride in the ctr lane below

2. i ride at 90-100kmh - they cut with with sufficient space just 2-3m in front you

3. i ride even faster...they jack you like as if you are not even there

 

4. for 1-3 above, its always late night past 11 so expyway is clear, im on lane 2 and lane 1 is clear.

never mind if the road is clear, they will still cut you as long you are riding in the ctr of lane 2 even though lane 1 is clear..

 

5. they always overtake/cut you within the same lane you are riding center in.

it seems that lane 1 is redundant to them. and they will give you minimal space after jacking u as usual.

 

6. if you ride on the side of the lane 2, either left or right (?!!) leaving no space for them to cut, they will pass by you in the same lane instead of cutting.

 

dafuq? it doesnt make sense to me.

that is no survival skill. if u notice, if any of them falls, its either fatal or jialat jialat. why? u look at the way they ride. while we were taught to look before turning, they turn before looking. i dunno wad they rushing for but they always end up jamming at the customs. wouldnt making it home safely to see their family a better choice?

 

usually i would just give way to them but when i meet those overly aggressive types i would retaliate. especially those who tried to lanesplit me when i am already lanesplitting and there is no way i can give way.

tbh, one single expressway lane can fit 2-3 bikes. just need be conscious of your surroundings.

they seldom or never travel lane 1 cos cars travel faster than them back in msia. the chances of getting running over is very high. and its also the emergency and overtaking lane so they shouldnt be there in the first place.

got caught in a jam at 2nd link last weekend. i already inside the queue liao then those queue cutter wanna squeeze in from the side

keep jabbing my bike with his front tyre till i buay tahan to turn ard and scold

lucky my bike is naked and not fairing

jab here jab there my bike will still be there. no space will miraculously appear for them to squeeze in

 

heard someone ever did a stationary burnout to one of the kups who kept poking at his rear.

the ppl diam diam and smell burnt tyre

What type of mirror were u using? Always make sure that it is safe before proceeding to lane change. If in doubt, dont lane change.

i think it's the distance home they want to rush and cut the time back home. many work shift work so it might make sense for them to reduce travelling time and get more rest. and the momentum they want to maintain the moment they pull the kup to high speed. not that i condone their need torush though.

i'm using the standard mirrors for phantom bought from LAB plus blindspot mirrors on both side.. which gives pretty much rearward view compared to the first kup convex mirrors that i had. (i thought i can see more of the blind spot with those kup mirros but very easily blocked by elbows when wearing rain coat.)

 

wrt to whether im sure its safe or not, i would have thought so before i decided to abort halfway. maybe its considered doubt. i am also considering if is it because it was because some car far behind lane 2 would have prevented blocked my view of that rider coming up fast from a far.

Salute. Once got jam at customs and a malaysian typed phantom kept squeezing beside hitting my bike with its wide handlebars. I kept patience till one point its too much and I kicked his bike away. Gave him a stern look and he apologized. :sly:

 

Yesterday almost got mowed down by an SGN plated orange car with turbo? Car tried to negotiate a left turn fast but the guy just lacks skill. So happily just cut to the right lane where I was also negotiating the right turn. A very good example of 'power is nothing without control'. Hope this bugger is taken off the roads soon because going fast is one thing and being able to control is another. Also a danger to other road users.
