Please bare in mind ABS only helps in panic situation. If you can train yourself not to panic, squeezing the brake lever to the point just before the ABS kicks in gives the most biting force. Please practice this for yourself on a quiet stretch of road.

Also, ABS will not work as well on gravel roads. It will extend your stopping distance than when you're braking normally. There was a nonsensical bike review on YouTube where they were testing two adventure bikes braking system off road, they compared ABS and non ABS. When the bike with ABS recorded a longer stopping distance, they concluded that ABS is of little to no use in the real world.

My 2 cents worth..

yea I know that. I saw videos too but those are professional rider. I am just an average rider, I doubt I will ever be as good as them. I have rode non abs and abs bike. abs works better for me and the video prove it.

It works if it's calibrated well. Which sad to say it's not in my case. My versys has the ABS threshold so early that it'll engage the ABS before I feel I'm about to lock the tires.

Experience of doing stoppies on my drz helps. Hehe.

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

As far as locking the front goes, its far more difficult to judge on wet surface like wet markings, actually almost impossible. The bike won't even do a stoppie, it will just drop. This is where ABS helps.

yeah, actually I look at the video i feel i am riding quiet slow lol. usually i overtake cars quite fast. The speedo meter is cut off mostly in the recording, but if see closely can see it is like 61km/h the road is 50km/h and with speedo meter error around 55-56km/h? 5km/h above TP won't even act.

Even at 250km/h if other vehicles are travelling at the same speed, you wouldn't be able to tell just by looking. Depends on the position of the camera as well, on the bike it might look fast, to an onlooker it might be slow. People will say you're speeding but the fact that some people are stupid applies.

yeah some ppl even say I was traveling at 70km/h how is that possible to brake within 1 car length distance at 70km/h. Class 2A and 2 tp need to brake at 40-45 km/h at that distance. so I can brake at 25-30km/h higher than the TP test at same distance.

They got speedcam eyes. Can tell speed just by looking at the passing trees. They are mutants I guess.

The whole point of ABS is to be used in panic situations. When a massive truck/ bus just cuts in and your instinct would be to grab a handful of brake, which would send you flying. On gravel or wet roads where there is little traction, not even god can help you. No traction means you can't brake effectively, period. Which is why you should always slow down on such surfaces and don't lean over too much.

Got this video a few months back. A big bike force a small bike to the right.

My opinions, I see nothing wrong with this. Small bike gave way since he's lane splitting at a slower speed?

I just received e-mail from stomp. The police is looking for me to investigate the case. Funny I already report police haha.

Thank you for your contribution.

We tried calling you a few times but to no avail. The police would like you to assist in their investigations regarding this case, could we get your permission to pass them your number?

Sounds shady to me? Should not the TP reply to you via email or snail mail? They did both for mine previously.

Today while riding, back from JB, I noticed that there was a policeman at EVERY traffic light!

I guess our Malaysian counterpart have their own system of tracking anyone who tries to make a run at their gantry. :)

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

Let's see how long they will have this. Odds are they won't be there after a month at most, since it wayang land.

Now after check box at woodlands checkpoint, must go through 'bumpy course'.

Thanks ica, for helping me relieve my class 2a/2 memories at the driving centre. Perfect solution to prevent carelessness and slipshod work.
