Heard there was a fatal accident involving a biker at PIE just now. RIP Brother.

Ride on

Was at PIE just now. Traffic was smooth. Towards Tuas or Changi? R.I.P. Sad to hear of another fallen rider. Lets all look out for each other be it small or big bikes. We only have ourselves to look after one another.

Apparently kena ran over and crushed by the truck. From some photos posted online, the bike seems to suffer very little damage though. Anyway ride safe and avoid heavy vehicles. :pity:

Bikers must be prepared that death may come anytime

I am totally not scared of death. I hate to be an invalid. lying motionless.unable to move but still conscious. eyes moving, crying feeling sad my family will take care of me. Please God. please spare me .

Bro, dun say that. No one need to prepared for death. Just share the road gracefully. I always give way to bikers when Im driving. We cannot avoid accident but we can reduced accident rates if drivers are graceful n giving way to each others. Seriously speaking, Singapore drivers are the wrost.

A rider can be careful. However all it needs is a careless mistake and the result can be fatal.

I think I got back before it happened hence traffic was smooth. It was a Malaysian lorry.

I read on the news they arrested the lorry driver. But I also heard other versions saying another vehicle actually knocked him down and the lorry didn't have time to stop.

His bike does not seems badly damaged. If run over by lorry, bike will be in a mess. So what you heard about another vehicle knocking him down is a possibility

Too many possibilities. Another vehicle might knock into the bike. Bike might have tried to evade from another vehicle and knocked into another vehicle. Lorry might have knocked into bike. Either of them made rider lose control and fall. Do consider how easily any bigger vehicle can get a bike to go out of control even a just a light tap on it. So it will just be more speculations.

Lets respect the deceased and the family by not discussing about this and let the proper authorities solve it. Meanwhile ride defensively at all times.
