I got a quote 3rd party only 25% cheaper than NTUC which already give 10% + 5% loyalty.

So it must be a good deal? since only 3rd party considering soon too.

Includes named rider btw 1000cc Jap superbike quote.

Any comments? Surely 3rd party minimum no difference right?

Please indicate correctly whether you got drive to work or not or using during course of work as it will affect the premium and they will renounce cover if information is not correct. So personally i will go for NTUC as they honor claims. my friend had to pay 52k for a very weird reason, too long to type here.

to cut the whole story short.

Car Owner: Sister

Insurance Covered: Sister(Main Driver), Father, Son

Son distracted and bang while exiting lot, hit a tiny bit on a rich man's mercs. Mercs claim them.

DirectAsia called 3 of them to "establish facts". Concluded that Son should be main driver as he drives more than Sister and Father (which isn't true but there's no log to justify and how did they "find out"? They called the clueless father and established the facts from the words of the father.)

And the void their policies, thus they have to pay on their own the claims.

52k claim from the Rich's man's lawyer for unknown reason, the speed of clash is at carpark (so assuming 10km/hr speed hitting a passing 20km/hr)

Just take note, heard from an insurance agent friend that NTUC has too much business and claims, and not enough staff. So payouts, if any, will take a few months more than other insurers.

Which insurance companies does your insurance agent friend represent, Fand? Hearsay is not useful for us. It's also not helpful to create any bias towards any insurance company. Too many factors surrounding an incident. It could be suspicion of fraud being investigated - which often will take a long time to process. If it is, it won't matter which insurance company. First hand info is more helpful in this case.

I've had timely claims support from all three different insurance companies I had to deal with for car or bike - whether I was claiming from them or getting them to cover me. Whatever the situation, is we follow through with good coverage of the circumstance, it will help.

The other good thing is I got myself a good lawyer to help me draft the letter to the insurance companies. Made a very big difference for me. I'm good with my words, but my lawyer (who is also a rider) is better, and he knows the system. Money well spent. Saved me a lot of time instead of ding donging.

Hope this helps.

NTUC have always been thorough, especially with third party claims. They are known to vigorously defend any third party claims made against them.

Personal experience:

Own Damage Claim - to my car was fast, within the stated stipulated time, vehicle was repaired

Third Party Claim - I am still waiting for the settlement of my injury claim, since 2 years ago, van nearly hit me at green pedestrian crossing causing me to jerk back my young daughter's pram and hit my knee causing it to swell and injured. The van driver sped off. Police report lodged and driver was summoned by TP based on CCTV footage at the junction. However, van driver did not lodge any accident report. Case is still dragged on and pending litigation in court. :goodluck:
