Anyone knows RXZ Fuel Consumption?

 

This depends on ur sprocket ratio, jetting and riding style. Heard of people who can hit 420km on full tank... My best was 390km.

Can anyone tell where to find electroplating services ( Chrome services ) beside at san guang and malaysia.

A lot of cheap old shop had closed down.

hmm..can be caused by a few things..the wiring on the headlight,or the whole bike wiring..but chances for these are low..probably its ur magnetic coil going to spoil or not giving a proper charge..should ask the mech to check for ur coil..

 

if its not charging at about 13.6v-14v when open throttle sooner or later ur batt will die also..its true that rxz is mechanical..think of the magnetic coil as the brain..without the brain,it wont send electric signals to other parts for them to move..without the coil..theres no source of current for the bike to provide electrical spark on the spark plug to burn the fuel in the block.

 

so when coil fails..itll rely on battery.when battery weak already..tats it..call tow truck.

 

this simple mechanism applies to most vehicle if not all be it big or small.

 

Huh... Wa lao. I asked one shop, they quote me 90 bucks to change the coil leh. -_- Now like got abit of prob cuz i cant maintain throttle - at 80, wen maintain throttle, bike feels heavy. What I do is to open throttle, close, open close. Dk whether its the coil problem or what larh. cuz i just did top overhaul abt a month ago.

Hi bro, the air filter located in the airbox, right side of the bike, black coloured cover, in between tail and tank.

Hmmm, just my 2cent, i did mine at JB for abt RM150. Lucky no prob inside, but still got the kacang sound, bt abit2 onli....

Bro loudnessfz. Well da prob is still persistent. I have checked wif my gf dat usually wen she splash water never once did it steam off my block. So im sure somrthin nt rite. Or is it possible dat it bcoz i switch petrol frm vpower to esso 8000. Pls advice. Coz im using local piston worry it cant withstand da temp.

 

hmm...da mcm super4 plak...i think ur rxz transform to 400cc kot..hahaha..hmmm..changing petrol grade doesnt affect the temperature...

 

recently got change piston and rebore to a bigger size block eh?if so does the mech do setting for u already?

then i guess just go to bikeshop and ask them to check for ur fuel/air setting...setting MIGHT lari over time..but donno whats the cause for ur case..if ur saying ur using local piston,do premix a bit of 2t..its true local piston cant withstand high temp for long time..try not to maintain at highways last gear over 7rpm,or suffer piston seizure.with correct fuel/air setting,there shouldnt be any steam when u splash water(of course therell be a bit,just not too much).and the heat radiation wont be unbearable to ur legs also,it should be just nice..warm..

doing top overhaul cant detect if ur coil has any problem and it wont solve e problem also..haha..

 

hmm..seriously before u change coil u should ask ur mech to check ur coil..see whether it gives the correct output voltage,another problem might be ignition coil prob..

 

try take out spark plug cable out..take out the cover also..just twist it..then point the cable towards ur block..make sure u can see the end,then kick start ur bike with ignition on,slow kick will do.

u should see sparks connecting from the block to the cable..i cant describe how strong it should look..it should be very visible and produce the tick tick sound..

 

careful not to touch ur block when ur kicking!

I believe they can provide u better information than any of us since the insurance premium can increase anytime.

 

if ur shy to call or lazy,just standby $1300.that should be enough i guess.

When back to my mech, he said the sound is bad as my block cond is bad. So I changed 2nd hand Y-1 block and Ori Hong Leong piston plus rebore. But now i hear still got da same sound. If after rebore it shoud be very quiet rite??

Damage $350, Changed to standard 2nd Hand 3bs pipe\, Std Carb 2nd Hand, Y1 block and new piston, piston ring. Previously my pipe chambered, block ported adn carb also ported. All done by previous owner. Overall quiet satisfied but still got peanut sound from block, is it by right suppose to be silent at da block after rebore and change piston.
