But will the VTEC, in the long run like how u ride, be spoiled bcoz u don't activate it?

 

I m doing abt 20km/l with VTEC activated at least 10 times in a full tank. Otherwise, changing gears between 4.5 - 5.5k rpm. My spec 1 is of stock Denso plugs, Mobil 1 EO, K&N air filter & GPR endcan.

 

hmmmm... me onli open vtec once or twice during weekdaes de... no chance to cheong due to traffic jam everywhere lehz.... but recently have been going to 2nd link to clear some carbon lah.... i think if open once or twice in a week should be ok la....

Haiz.... the one fixng my neonlight one no reply my sms again.... last wed sms him, thursdae reply say thursdae night no time, fridae night got function will get back to me on saturdae..... no reply.... yesterdae night sms him till now no reply.... GEK SIM AR!!!!!!! 70 like that fly liaoz...... not even knowing wat's wrong with it....

 

i was actually planning if really cannot save liao i will get 2 more from him to replace, askin him if can cheaper or not coz my current one installed for not even a mth.... HAIZ....

wah... i think maybe your bike really having problems wor.... if u say after u change to ur 'fs' ur mileage drop, its still understandable. but if u say before ur fs, its too scary for a spec one lor...

 

IMO, spec 1 OEM should be able to hit at least 18-20km/l unless if drag every gear to 5-6 rpm then change..

 

My xiao bai can run at least 23-24km/l now... travelling speed at the most 80-90 on expressway and exit Bendemeer RD in the morning to work and 90-100 after work on expressway.... nv drag gears always change at 4 rpm... mod done is onli my endcan and installed a power booster..

 

my fiance & my bike same lei.... think its norm.... no symptom of lose power or others... as for me i open my power cut(watever how they spell it). i think it's norm.. coz i did ask other forumers some say can last til 18-26L some say 15-18L....

if you really wanna save fuel, dont open VTEC! and change gear around 4k rpm no more then tat......

some say the MY gov nv announce so its only a rumor

 

some say say on TV they announce liao start on 7th june and it affect only cars....

 

all got no evidence to support....

IKER;4291185']**** lah... dun talk about that header le... One point of advice to all who wanna change to micron headers... its lousy... always LAU HONG. got this irritating sound... heard that its due to loose headers... but, performance wise.. :thumb:

Since the topic is about tuning... I just add my 1c experience, no tuning, cannot realise the full potential of full system..Perhaps its psychological, cause my respones improve after changing the main jets + tuning... As for end can, it works well without tuning, tried with my yoshi for 3mths, but if you got spare cash, servicing your carb and pamper your bike alittle won't hurt..

 

now i got big big problem... MY suddenly cannot pump their petrol within 50km. I just realised that my FC jumps up ALOT( i really meant ALOT !! 1L only 15.2km) after tuning and the FS... :cry: Now i need to think of a way to solve that....

 

i using mircon 4-1 headers with gpr carbon end can. don't have your problem of lau hong? u didn't change your header gasket is it?

 

so far i using i'm very pleased with it. the sound is different from original headers. my FC now is 19-20km/l, avg 100km/h change gear 5rpm. No other mods.

Huh ?? What happen to your neon lights ??? Pay money of course must ask him to rectify the problem lah... If you deem that the neon lights are faulty by nature, i suggest you dun waste $$ get another set... Same thing happen to me when i installed those AGL lights... always got problem, replace until sianz.... dun bother to buy from there liao...

Well, its not the gasket side that is leaking, its the 4-1 connection there, heard from shawn at unique that thats a very common problem..

I changed my gasket not once but twice... still like that.

 

I also ard 100km change gear 5rpm, but mine is with dyno.. perhaps thats what taking the 4-5km per litre away..

 

where u take??? btw im riding spec 1 also.... my riding style like i say expressway 100, 110 somtimes "accidentally 120" haha, really! i also nvr change nothing much. i sometimes count how much i'm going per Litre is always 15 to 16 per Litre since i bought my blackbeauty... been riding Blackbeauty 1 half yr already no prob so far ... check spark plug, do service every 6months, eo 3000 to 5000 change.... yup! i always wanted to try getting 18-20 per litre... i guess i will only get 18-20 per litre in my dreams.... can ah... if i ridee all e way 80,70, 80,90, 80, 70 k/m... WAH PianGZ!

 

My TP at BBDC.. I also cannot tahan riding at 80-90-80-90... will sleep... unless there is something on my mind... which is very seldom, i would ride at that speed...

Since you got used to the 15-16km per litre... Great... now i need sometime to accustom to it... big big drop... :cry:

wah.... i will nv get used to 15l on a s4 sia... its juz like riding a FZ1.. i think i will get used to it when i get my FZ1 ba... haha...

 

i've got a fren same problem... very low mileage oso 270km or lessser per tank but after he did some servicing, his mileage regained up to around 400 km per tank.... not very sure about his riding style but during kulai trip he always throw us at the back one lah.... haha...

only heart pain everytime pillion the part will knna hump:cry:

 

but my FC b4 n after still same at 20km/l, no dyno or anything special done.
