Dudes..

Anyone know if there's ever such a thing?

I asked this private seller 'X' for the no. of owners of this rxz. His answer was..this 'rxz', which he bought 5 months back was issued a new log book by LTA.. hence he dunno how many. Real anotz?

Is there an LTA webbie where I can check his no. plate to see if this bike is genuinely owned?

Hmm I just called up LTA.. they said they stopped giving out log books last year.. So there's like no way now.. to check if the previous owner's mileage has not been tampered.. how many onwers etc.

That's unless we access the onemotoring webbie with the owner's singpass.. which the owner will of coz not give. This is dam ridiculous la.. leh chey.. like that how to check bike historical records when going for a bike viewing??!!

If he bought his bike 5 months ago, he would have an electronic log card. In that log card, the number of transfers is indicated. U would know how many previous owners there were. But I am not sure how U can find out the real mileage of the bike.

Only the registered bike owner can check the information of the bike in the E-log using his Singpass number => LTA e-Services using SingPass.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

Actually without log card, u can also check the no of transfer at https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfunc?ID=EnquireTransferFee

As for the intended transfer date, u can just anyhow write one maybe one week later from today (e.g) den u can see how much u need to pay for the transfer PLUS no of transfer will be stated there.

But one confirm information u need to know is the exact BIKE PLate number, my previous purchase happen to don have the correct log card too, but i let my bike shop settle everythign for me, and they help me print a new Log paper. Also because i rather pay $30 extra for service charge than to run here and there to do everything myself.

so the link for u is https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfunc?ID=EnquireTransferFee

Just to check, when did LTA announce the stopping of issueing of log cards? Does this apply to the new bikes bought after the announcement only? Let's say I buy a second hand bike before the announcement came about, and I just finished paying up the installments. Is there still a requirement for me to get the log card back from the bike shop?

Second question is a bit OOT. What are the procedures that need to be done after I clear my installments? Do I need to have any documents to sign to transfer the bike directly under my name now?

No.

Make sure the second last installment you find out more from the shop. To my knowledge, there is any procedure or what-so-ever. Make sure the last key(s) with the shop is given back to you.
