Measure your brake lines first... then go chong aik at desker road to purchase the appropriate length... then go to your favourite bikeshop ask them fix for you.

Can can can.... ok.... the air you pump until next year also not enough...:lol: Go petrol kiosk and pump.

Yes

there is free air pump at most petrol kiosks.

somemore the air pressure can be adjusted digitally at the press of a button.

so pls dont use footpump and pump manually~

:cheeky:

Thanks alot bros, I already did that and everything is alright now. =).

HEL brake is going at $130 @ unique (http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/212954-HEL-PERFORMANCE-BRAKE-LINES-(Back-by-popular-demand))

Do you mind providing me the breakdown of your $450 on ur repair? I am keen in changing my overrun timing chain as well, but need to be financially prepared for other problems too.

$130 seems like a pretty gd price for HEL.

a substantial portion of that money goes towards the brandname~

those parts i mentioned are considered the more major parts that were replaced. other nitty gritty like gaskets, etc i really keep track.

:cheeky:

i remember there are other bros here who spent slightly lesser than i did for similar high mileage maintenance as well. so it really depends on what's due for replacement after dismantling e engine. i feel the price should be around this range as long as u dont kena costly items like engine block replacement. :thumb:

thanks don.

probably get my clutch checked first, and see if they discover anything else. haven't heard any worrying rattling noises yet.

anyway clutch plate replacement isnt as labor-intensive as repairs like cam chain replacement. so just go ahead and try out the clutch plate replacement to c how it works out.

:goodluck:

what's with that pic??

now besides repair motor they also repair roads?? :p

anyway my personal gd experience with planet is that they noticed a fault which other shops would have simply brushed aside after having completed the overhaul on my bike. they left the engine running at idle to test-run and it will automatically die off after a few mins.

i think most shops would have simply increased the idling speed to solve it. but they went to the extend of tracking the cause down to the magneto. the magneto was fitted back but it was slightly out of adjustment. so they corrected it before passing e bike back to me. :thumb:

My good experience with Planet is that they sometime don't charge me for small small things. The mechs can find things that I need whereby ah chong said he don't have.

My bad experience with them is that my CDI spoil, the mechanic say my coil spoil. Ended up I changed both Coil and CDI. So expensive... Actually should have find ah chong directly so that those mechs won't wrongly diagnose..

Lesson learnt, got problem find chong directly... need to find stuffs or parts, find their mechs.. :faint:

huh? rain and shine under ur seat??? O.o

My IU cable is just above my bike air guide. So it is exposed. Me not like you or elizzy, route the IU cable until so nice.. lol :cheeky:

I went to vicom to do, almost vomit blood. They never connect back my horn connector and back brake sensor... I still thought my horn spoil... almost get into accident also when my horn was not working :(

My tailboard also have a hairline crack.. seriously, vicom ppl really cannot trust one...

unfortunately, u can't buy insurance for motorbike for anything less than 12months duration. so u probably need to renew insurance for another 12months in april and then consider getting an insurance quotation again in august after u have crossed 22yrs old to see what price u can get.

the idea is to compare whether is it worth it to cancel the 1st insurance u bought in april and buy a new policy in august. (note: there is likely to be some refund amount available based on the un-used part of the insurance policy. since u used the policy for less than 12mths, the insurance company will refund u a certain percentage of the premium u paid. u need to check with the company specifically how much refund u can get back. different company different terms & conditions.) if it is not worth it, then dont bother cancelling and taking up another policy in august.

actually i find all this talk abt insurance premium getting lower when u reach certain age group rather interesting. last time pple used to tell me when u reach 25yrs old, premium will decrease quite abit. ended up, i experienced none of this! every year i c my nett premium getting higher, even after factoring in the additional no-claim bonus/discount. :faint:

hi everyone, i've just bought a cbr150 myself. Just thought maybe you guys could help me with something.

1.First thing first, my bike will sort of from 5th gear drop to neutral sometimes. Is this a sign that my clutch plates are worn? Or am i kicking the gear too lightly?

2.Also, i've experienced uneven braking at the front brake. When i apply gradual braking, as i depress the brake lever harder, it will not increase the brake pressure until i press even harder it will sort of jam the brake. What should i do to rectify this problem?

3. Lastly, what are the typre pressures required front and back tyres?

Many thanks. =)

Not a CBR150R rider, please pardon the intrusion.

FOrmerly rode a pulsar and had the same problem with gear going to neutral from 5th. did some reading.

it's a false neutral, when the gear is engaged in neither 4th nor 5th. not the same as a true neutral between 1 &2.

happens for variety of reasons from imprecise machining, worn gear components (dogs and slots), bent shift forks.

please do keep in mind that if it happens, kick UP into 5th once the revs drop, never down, cuz it'll place excessive engine braking forces on parts. also, parts will be spinning with sub-mm clearance, don't shift lightly up, give a good kick.

one thing i did to minimise this annoying occurrence was to kick up harder. and also, when in 5th, to double check by pulling up once more to make sure it's properly engaged.

hope this will be of some help!

peace!

edit : this is also what's happening whenever a bike drops into neutral from any gear except 1-to-2. the revs will go very high, cuz throttle is open without gears being engaged. let the revs drop and then engage higher gear.
