tink it's the older version of cbr150 that has gone out of stock. the new 2011 cbr150 still be available since it's so new to the market.

one of the biggest myths told to me is that insurance premium will drop once u hit a certain age group.

after riding for 7+years, it has more or less sunk into me the fact that premiums will only go up, never drop~

year after year, i never put up claim. yet my premium goes up by a bit everytime.

HAHAHAH im steady for kopi, i live at hougang area too but i havent gotten my bike yet.

for me, vibration comes around 8k rpm.

after which, the vibration kind of reduces by around 9-10k?

but generally the ride is still comfortable lah. nothing like dangerous rear tail shaking like kups with dual rear suspension.

 

I've never gone beyond 8k before, so i wouldn't know.. but yea.. agree much on the overall comfort of the bike hmm, if changing gear not smooth, what can i do to improve or rectify it?

and is it normal that sometimes when i start the bike, there's a slight clinking sound.. but after a while it disappears?

yah...maybe this lower premium when u get older thing applies for the younger generation. we old already, belong to the era when insurance premium only takes into account age/experience of main rider

i used to pay like $190 for KRR 3rd party insurance!

google for pic of the new cbr150. it's the one with somewhat touring bike look.

completely different from the old/existing cbr150 u c on the roads.

what's new is likely to cost. so work yr sums~

 

try calling up the larger agencies like Looi's or Mah motor or even Honda Boon Siew to check on stocks or to even confirm when they are bringing it in.

using better engine oil can help make gear changing more smooth.

according to fellow forumer, zed, he says the tickling sound when u 1st start bike is normal. this is assuming that the sound comes from this part called the tensioner. after moving off and warmed up, the sound should disappear.

changed to sp carb already. can feel the diff in the lower end =)). no diff on top end=((. bt the drop in fc is quite bad tho.top up full tank and rode 100km only and the petrol is approacing half already.

 

Wow, consume so much petrol? I have thought of changing to sp carb too.

Oh, i'm using Chex 9000 fully synthetic, which I heard to be quite smooth. hmm, yup, after warm up and move off..no more sound.

Bring spare bottle of engine oil to top up your oil.... long distance continuous riding oil will kana makan faster...

use some spray-on lubricant on the gear lever joints~

have a gd trip! take more pics~

 

bring some aftermarket cbr150 parts back if u do spot any~

Pls ride safe & do note the CBR150R is not design to go long distance, so rest the bike & yourself well on long trips......

When you're under 21 and P-plate, insurance is never cheap

You can't reset the mileage. Advisable to change your air filter if it get too dirty. Remember to tune your carb after changing air filter.

 

Not recommend to change CDI though unless you're a lacer Stock is always the best...

get a new one. after 2 years when my cbr150 going scrapyard, then u can sell me yr cbr at cheap price~
