This is an interesting thread..

Well for those who mentioned about

Handlebar vibrate at 100kmph for the

Old CBR... It's normal..

I can do 140 and it's max out..

My reason I still have one is simply because It's a Honda guys!

It's proven to be bullet prove!!

It's doesn't require an overhaul..

Mine is a fv plate and COE is gonna

End in nov.. Never touched the engine

Nor even service the carbs...

What can I say...

It is a Honda after all.

Bike have been through with me thick and thin! Proven durability!

Btw.. It's my transport bike for coming

2 years now.. And the only thing I did

To maintain was a spark plug a year

And engine oil every 2 months. Lols.

Btw, just to share.. I go all out

On every gear before switching..

The amazing thing is the engine

Is still alive.. Lol.

It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different

My Toys:

Harley XR1200

CB400-V-tec III (served me well )

Streetfighter S ( never felt better! )

Hello guys, not an owner yet but I wanna get one soon.

Looking at the new CBR150R, the fuel injection new model. Anybody knows how much it is at shops, first or second hand?

How is the maintenance. Was considering RS125, but heard the maintenance for that 2 stroke baby is a killer.

Do you know that riding at 90km/h+ without earplugs is dangerous?

Learn more, and get affordable earplugs at:

SGBike Earplugs Website: https://sites.google.com/site/sgbikeearplugs/home

PM me to find out more.

Hi guys. I'm riding the old cbr150r, fy plate. Over the past 15 months of riding it, my bike has always been hard to start especially in cold weather(needs like min 3 push of the button, i try not to use choke). Sometimes it would idle low at 1k and die and i would have to restart again and keep the throttle slightly opened to maintain a 1.3k idle for a min or two. Only after the warm-up then it stays at 1.4k rpm. I adjusted the battery terminal and it improved slightly(can start by 1 or 2 push but still needs the throttle to maintain the healthy idle sometimes).

Just recently, i was at expressway and my power got cut off suddenly and the bike stalls. I could restart but had to adjust the rpm because the idle start-up was 800-ish. I then rode home but along the way, my bike dies whenever i brake and shift to lower gear before coming to a stop(as though it doesnt get enough fuel). Had to restart everytime i wanted to move off at a traffic light. And sometimes when i throttle when accelerating, my bike sort of jerks/surges. and it's getting much harder to start it up!

Qtn is, might it be an engine problem? It had no problem reaching 140+ so far. Battery/carb/fuel line? I noticed too that my coolant reservoir has halved when i just topped it up last 2 months, is that an issue? Spark plug and chain serviced regularly and i use 95/98 fuel only. And also, what's the cost of changing a batt? Appreciate ur inputs!

Choke is designed for use when starting your bike bro, ESPECIALLY in cold weather, it is always used by people in cold countries when starting bike. Please utilise it. Slight throttle is doing the same thing as the choke, but I think it would be much better to use the method that came with the bike.

Interested in the 02' CBR, saw one with a FW plate. Would it be a good buy or is it time for it to be scraped ?

COE reaching end of lifespan soon for FW plate.

if you are prepared to fork out $$ to renew the COE, then go ahead.

as long as it is in good condition, it will be a good bike.

Cbr150r using what type of petrol is the best ?H

in terms of performance, the most expensive petrol works best.

in terms of economy, pump 92 / 2000.

Bro mafboss, ur clutch cable need adjusting, adjust clutch biting point abit further. ur carb need adjust also, for carb adjust better send bike shop, need to adjust at two place, airflow/fuelflow. Wrong adjust, too rich waste ur patrol, too lean engine problem.. Anyway adjust carb free. Service must pay. But if shop lazy to just adjust, will surely say need service!!!! Payyyyyy.. Heeee..
