Need an answer for some questions? I am looking for brand new CBR 150, where can I look for them? And any difference if I get from Boon Siew authorised dealers or not? And what is the OTR (exc. Insurance) price for a new CBR?

oh i c.. but yesterday i went regina to get sumtin, i didnt c tt type of helmet on display. mayb they didnt display it..

 

anyway guys, recently my bike temperature gauge's needle went over the middle line, which usually nv happened before. actually happen only 2times before i post this.. my coolant levels are fine. do i need to do anything about it, or it's normal?

 

other thing, when the needle went over the middle line, i sometimes stop at the side cos suddenly the bike feel so heavy to accelerate. then, when i tilt my bike to the left side, supported by the side stand, and try to move the rear wheel, the rear wheel couldn't even spin. any ideas why? but it happen like juz twice in a mth. other days r usually fine..

not to pour wet water, there's someone whose nolan's shades just snapped off along the highway. but for CBR150R it's fine lah, we won't reach that kind of speed.

 

outing sounds cool, play pool sounds absolutely delicious.

hmm, this is a common bike, almost every other bike shop will have it, if not they'll have no problem bringing it in for you. boon siew might be a bit more expensive i guess. not worth it IMO.

 

anyway, from boon siew's webbie u see it's CBR125, not CBR150. 150 is made by honda thailand, 125 dunno made in where, but engine is very different. the 125 engine is from the XR125, from what i read, the 150 should be better bet for u. :sweat:

air filter got sumtin to do meh? .. it only happen if i go for long distances i.e bukit batok to plaza singapura and bukit batok to ah boy ard 2pm for both times.. other than that, nothing..

 

hmm.. wat i think is that, the weather quite hot. n mayb my bearing expand, den cannot move? haha.. or, mayb the disc brake expand n always in contact wif my brakes cos of the hot weather.. lol.. cos wen i touch the disc brake, it was very hot.. i think if it happen again, then i will go to mech..

hey i think i experienced tht before, the "loss of power" when the engine becomes hot. apparently my idling and settings weren't right. my mech adjusted my idling and the air/fuel ration thingy.. and its much better after tht. i dunno abt ur jammed rear wheel problem. that's alien to me

my guess is as follows:

 

yr rear brake pump spoilt, sometimes resulting in brakes continuing to be engaged even after u have released the rear brake pedal.

hence, yr bike had to work extra hard to keep the bike moving. this in turn causes the higher reading on temp gauge.

 

my suggestion if u wan to play safe = get yr rear brake system checked.

 

according to the mech at Mah Motorparts, brake pump tend to spoil easier when used on racing footrests compared to original footrests due to the pump being mounted at different angles.
