yup, cos the mech cut the length of the rod of the brake pump by a few mm, cos before cutting, the resting position of my foot was so uncomfortable. as in if i were to brake, i have to lift my whole right foot to depress the brake. so he cut a bit and it's fine. the only ting, my rear wheel cannot lock, tts all.. but im sure inspection cannot pass cos 100% braking means rear wheel locking..

haha.. true, mine's only 1yr plus old. still got 1-2 yrs more.. i think ur racing footrest shld b fine if it can brake fully and ur rear lights working perfectly. cos our bikes comes wif disc brakes, shld b able to pass.. those bikes wif drum brakes and racing footrest surely cannot pass..

peeps.. am riding a runner now but cannot take the maintenance cost of the bike.. too ex.

so, was looking around and found this bike.. so was wondering, is this bike for beginners?

read that is too light that it is unstable in high speed?

any common problems that may happen? does the engine sound loud? (am riding 2 stroke, then every morning go work wake the whole neighbourhood.. hee) maintenance cost?

roughly how much OTR for new first hand?

it's actually a bike for anyone, beginners or not, cos it's quite an easy bike to take care and handle..

it's not bad la, i tink ard same weight as sp or kr.. but it's heavier than those kup kia.. hmm, high speed, how high is ur high? cos mine's quite stable cruising at 100kph..

problems r common in bikes. depends on ur luck n how u take care of it. so far tis bike is not as problematic as other bikes i've known. and the engine sound is not loud, although i wish it was louder :cheeky: cos tis bike is 4 stroke..

maintenance is the usual, 1 spark plug and 1litre engine oil. and air filter.. other than that, is just the usual wear and tear of parts.. cos tis is a 4 stroke bike, so very low on maintenance as compared to ur 2 stroke runner..

hmm for OTR, i tink the other members can help. esp those who just bought theirs :cheeky:

maybe juz because they make 6 gear on this bike? not sure on others. gear should be juz a gauge to the speed where u would travel i guess, like over reving or juz plain riding within the speed of that gear. like high speed while in lower gear would be sort of dragging = rpm higher..

the # 6 gear is like a overdrive gear for better fuel economy laaaaaaaaaaaa :cheer:

engine with wider power band will have lesser amount of gears. e.g. 4 or 5 gear

while those with narrower power band will have higher amount. e.g. mito with 7 gear :D

anyway its nothing to be concerned, everything will be as normal as 5 gear bike. just that you may have to shift gear up sooner than those 5 gear bike.

anyway just curious, how much is ur runner maintenance that you cant take it anymore?

1st month, i spent 189d ++ (full service) :cry:

2nd month, i spent 200d ++ (including a bit of mod) :cry:

3rd month, very itchy, but wallet no money.. :cry:

also, FC is like average 20km/L. feel like damn jealous when i see u peeps go more than 40km/L. double sia.

hahaha, in that case its because of your own itchiness leh :cheeky:

you'll have the same urge to mod here and there and spend extra expenses on any bike.

but its true that the FC has a big difference on our bikes though :p

regular servicing should be less hassle and cheaper as well.

Hi guys hope you can help me out.

I got myself a CBR150 and initially there was some coolant leakage.

Now it seems to be repaired but i find that the bike heats up till the coolant temp meter can almost hit red when i travel say from pasir ris to clementi.

The mech tells me to stop if it hits red but cant be so easy to heat up right?

Is that normal? Anyone observe how much the bike heats up and where should the temp meter roughly be?
