ouch disc brake dented. Quite a damage for major parts :giddy: . Better check ur front fork and your front rim as well.

clutch cable are supposed to be maintained regularly as well, by lubricating (any engine oil, used one, will do) the wire inside :thumb: . You shouldnt feel any friction at all while pulling the clutch. Its the same thing with the throttle. It should has no friction while operating and when you release it suddenly from full open throttle, it should snappily rotate back to position. Try this at a new bike at any carpark to compare with your bike.

about fuel consumption, i feel that this bike should get at least 39-40kmpl . My average was 41kmpl with 100-110 cruising (7-7.5k rpm at gear 6) and about 5-6k rpm gearing up.

Oh, just changed my sprockets and chains to default before i sold the bike to my close friend. Apparently the rear sprocket was changed to 38 teeth o_O and front was 12teeth. Fyi, the default is 44 rear and 13 front iirc. I got that top speed of 150kmph with this combo though.

Lastly, im in Colombo, Sri Lanka now for work, at least 2 years. Thats why i sold the bike away. . Overhere the bikes are like 80% bajaj lol. 5 days here and i have also never see a cub type like honda wave. Only 1 scooter so far. kinda missed sgp.

hmm, i know need to lubricate. but may i know how? cos tt time i tried lubricating, and instead of the oil entering the wire, it seeps out to my clutch lever.. :cheeky: luckily my throttle still feels smooth, so dun tink will hav problems so far..

yup, wif my style of hard throttling, my FC is still +-41.5km/litre :thumb:

ok, finally someone here changed sprockets. my cousin did recommend me that type of sprocket combo.. so my qns is, how is ur acceleration n pickup wif tt combo? and how will it affect the FC?

wow, work so far.. hehe, i tink each country got their own "common" bike.. like malaysia wif their cubs :cheeky:

perhaps to add-on

this "decrease rear sprocket size to up yr top speed" thing works only to limited extent.

meaning there's a limit to how much we can reduce rear sprocket teeth to increase top speed. if reduce by too much, dont be surprise that the engine cant generate enough power to even bring the bike to its original top speed i.e. top speed drops.

should be able to push start, but then someone must be pushing it from behind haha. Unless you can find a downslope :cheeky:

hmm, acceleration and speed was alright before change. but i recommend to keep the front sprocket size and maybe reduce the back to 42, see how it affect your consumption. Theoritically it should reduce the consumption if you cruise often as it now needs lesser rpm to achieve the same speed. But it may backfire by you always revving up higher during speeding up as you feel the lost of acceleration.

oh immediately after change back to original, the consumption was 38kmpl, but I was pillioning for at least half a tank. Have to ask my friend on the current consumption, but it may not be comparable to me as he may have diff style of riding.

hmm.. ya, i tink last time one of e forumers, i tink limbat, recommended maintain the front and change the back to 42 for better performance :thumb: but i tink will suit me cos i love to hi-rev :bounce:

haha.. i almost forgot that weight will affect consumption. cos i always pillion my gf almost everytime and my FC is still +/-41.5km/litre

Hey guys, what do you think of the stability of the CBR 150?

Ermm, i tried top the other day. Managed to reach 160 km/h at 11.5 RPM (Red Line). The bike was stable. Handle did not 'tank slap' and the bike wasn't swaying. Had to slow down as the RPM was already at the red line. Later piston jam. Jialat.

So whats your verdict on the stability of CBR 150?

To have a normal life, you work for what you need.

To have a great life, you work for what you want.
