i travel during work + shuttle gf between cck & tampines on wkends

 

anyway yr brake lever hard issue like normal

hehe

as long as it works fine when u need brakes while on the move~

Hey guys.. need your help on this issue I just encountered when on my way back during work.

 

I was cruising at 5th gear, rpm was ard 6-7k

All of a sudden, there was this loud vrrooooom sound (like when u drag engine) then the rpm needle just dropped all the way to zero.

And when i clutch in, the clutch like how do i put it? like as if "free wheeling" no resistance on the clutch one..

(the engine did not die off)

 

Of cos i stopped to the side and check but I'm also not sure what to look out for. But after that, I'm still able to continue riding..

 

Any bros out there experienced this before or know whats wrong with the bike??

Please advise!!! I'm not sure whats wrong now and I dun wan to compromise safety man..

Bro, the IRC tyres so far so good. I've yet to change but i heard battlax good is the best you can get ah?

 

Anyway the IRC tyres i'm using now, i do burnout and corner till the footrest scrap also still treading thick but i heard people say that IRC no good. I scared later i corner, corner, corner then fall. lol.

 

So whats the judgement on IRC tyres?:cheeky:

 

 

Best to change tires other than the original. Had almost skid twice when trying to do E brake on rainy days. But now with my new tires, E brake in stormy weather, no sweat.:cheeky: Anyway had my CBR 5 months back. Glad to find a forum in here

I experience it before... I tink dat time my case.. d engine died.. and its coz of overheating.. too much of dragging of d bike la.. low gear high speed.. or low speed high gear.. ya

Soon i wil have to change tyres.. rainy days this tyre too skiddy.. wat tyre do u all suggest? and how to check if d tyre punctured.. i dunno if its coz of my handlebar or wat.. i feel like tyre punctured wen i ride.. but wen i touch n feel d tyre stil got air inside.. erm

i always thought the bike feels most comfortable around 5 to 6.5k liddat. above, the bike like straining, below the bike feels choking. what do you guys think? :confused: :confused:

i think maybe his carb got some problems, mine should be carb problem so feel underpower.. so carb problem = underpower? weeboon any ideas?

 

droppin of gear from 6 while cruising during bike juz started, to 5th gear is common.. during the droppin in progress sometime u can hear sort of 5.5 gear where its sort of neutral so rpm shoot damn high because ur throttlin on 6th gear speed..

I think my rear brake pads will run out faster la. cause i always like to play counter skid esp when in carpark on when road wet. lol. playful me.

Oh this syndrome i call it "after makan syndrome". cause 2x i go jb fill petrol until like gila this AMS happened. i also dunno how come it happened.

I doubt there's anything to do with the temp. Cause i always drag my gear. Low speed high gear bike won't die unless never open throttle enough.

Sometimes i never kick gear hard enough then got weird sound in the gearbox.

What my friend told me is that could be cause of carb overflow. but till today i stil dunno whats the cause of that syndrome.

hi, jus a quick question.. is it better to invest in a 1st hand cbr 150 or krr 150? thanks 4 any comments.

 

 

arent it depend how u look at it? in term of how much u will lose when ur sellin or peformance u want wif each bike..

 

maintenace sure cbr is cheaper but resale maybe krr is better? nt sure..

da.mn happy that i finally figured out why my temp gauge reading had risen from an average of 1/4 to 1/2 . it was cause of the stebel horn i fixed right smack in front of the radiator. apparently it blocked some of the airflow reducing the cooling effect. :giddy:

 

bro.. where u get the horn.. i think i need to change cos my horn like no effect.. tat day at cte in tunnel.. got this lady on MPV beside me wanna cut into my lane without signal and check blindspot.. i horn and horn she just look at me and give the blur look and den speed away.. the horn how much? plus installation? or u can help install for me? is air horn or electronics?

if you riding ur bike for long best to invest in cbr 150.. good and easy bike to maintain and ride.. not so light as wave but light enough.. and FC is good.. can match those kups or better..

KRR resale is definitely higher than CBR, for CBR resale is only about 1k, so imagine you buy first hand at 5-6k, you will lose around 4k. Unless you don intend to change bike in the next ten yrs, if not in terms of $ resale KRR is better. But for maintenace wise CBR really is low, hope to find a wife like this haha

lol 1k is way too low lah.. from this forum seems the resale price hover ard 2.5-3k as long its 2nd hand, so if u hold on longer than sell.. ur depreciation will be seem lower lor.. sometime ppl buy le so new then want sell that when they lose alot ba.. but avg abt 5.5k n minium sellin price at abt 2.5k, at most lose 3k lah..

i want to get an air horn too, the other day i keep horning like a mad man to a car in front of mr to indicate the traffic lights has turn green, but was shocked to c the driver still talking to person beside him, is he deaf or is my horn just not loud enough...heard mustafa selling air horn at $9.90 but must install ourself..

Bro, please refer to this LTA website. According to them, air horn is illegal but i heard people can pass inspection even with air horn.

i tink there's some confusion abt the bros here with regards to horns.

aftermarket horns comes in at least 2 common types:

1) electromagnetic

2) air

 

the common ones we see on cars and bikes belong to 1st type whereas air horns tend to be for lorries, which have a compressed air reservoir to store air for assisting in activating their brakes, clutch, etc (explains why u hear the pssst sound frm such vehicles when they are on the road).

 

aftermarket air horns are a big nono whereas electromagnetic horns belong to the gray region whereby some vehicle inspectors allow while there are others who disallow during annual vehicle inspections.

 

common brands for such electromagnetic horns are Stebel, Fiamm, Type R etc. i have heard of different reviews (both gd & bad) for the diff brands, with no conclusion on which 1 is the best. but i guess Stebel is a safe bet. been using Stebel for ard 3years.

 

i do have knowledge on DIY fixing of Stebel for our bike. not a too easy job since it involves some amount of wiring & positioning of the twin horns. so my suggestion for less-technically inclined pple will be to get the horns fixed at motordiams. have started working hence dont have as much time to play ard as before. sorry bro~

ok bro.. where u get ur stebel from? and the best place to position the horns or u can take a pic of it on ur bike ?

 

i believe LAB selling for close to $18 per pair. but of course get their mechs to fix up the horns at yr own risk. :cheeky:

 

i positioned 1 horn at the original stock horn position (above front mudguard) and the other 1 i position at the right hand side engine casing (secured using 1 of the bolts for coolant pump). there's quite a few bolts to pick frm actually. hehe.

 

originally wanted to put both at the sides of the engine casings but couldnt find a good spot to secure the horn for the left engine casing.
