bro

which particular model of Michelin huh?

just did a rear tyre change at JB. the shop i went ran out of TT900 (Thai) 100/18 so ended up fitted a 90/80 instead for RM$85.

michelin tyres usually easy to find now, if i'm not wrong, last time michelin only for class 2a n 2 bikes but now 2b aslo have.. u can try at bike any good ike shop sure have.. lots of riders have good reviews abt this tyre especially in the rain, got good grip.. malaysia dunlop used b4 easily get "botak", use few mth only and it get near bald.. i tink if u want use dunlop, change in singapore one that is made in japan, more expensive than battlax by ard $10 or $20 i think..

yup there is. if it helps, the part number for the air cleaner that you probably changed is 17210-KPP-901. :smile:

i have a wild hunch it might actually be the carb or ur fuel line that might be causing the problem. perhaps u can try changing your fuel line for a start. and try servicing or changing your carb if you get desperate. just don't quote me for this. i say again, it's just a hunch. :smile:

if its carb then mafan le mine also kana.. inside a carb is like a cyclinder inner and a rubber and the jet pin(if not wrong) move up n down for the proces of throttlin rite?

anyway because of the inner surface of the cyclinder not smooth it will jam up the throttlin.. the person advice me to change but i haven change also.. he use 1 of the sand paper i think smoothen the inner.. so still ok but then acceleration wise can feel underpower abit..

like my speed at 110, u can see the speedo meter flicker up n down.. same goes for rpm.. from the judgement they give would be to change the carb lor.. was quoted 170..

Thanks for the advice. Anyway, i will going down to the motor shop for a check. might ask them to wash carb and then see how. :)

hehe

after ozzarbomb offered his opinion of wat is wrong, time for me to offer mine! :p

try the following:

1. wash carburettor

2. check choke cable (make sure it is not jammed)

3. simple tuning of carb/checking of carb tuning to ensure tuning is not off

:goodluck:

hey are you going to change your tires this week? if yes can i have your stock tires? :cheeky: i would recommend you skip the Dunlop one, Bridgestone will do. i wouldn't spend 300 on tires for 2B bikes. :smile:

bro, why you want stock tires? if want mine is stock but not changing soon. no money.

hm, actually if a tyre goes botak fast, it may not necessarily be a bad thing. hehe. it may mean that the tyre offer high grip & hence, more friction and gets worn out faster.

based on past experience with jap vs thai tyres. the model i used Dunlop TT900 vs TT900GP.

TT900GP last abt 15000KM while TT900 last abt 17000KM.

:btw: bro thisisme, pls DO NOT go change tyres at the shop which quoted u $300 for the pair of TT900GP. anything more than $200 is already super chop carrot & this shop actually quoted u $300!!! TT900GP cheapest so far is $170 at our famous Lim Ah Boy (LAB).

as for insurance, just called up 3 companies tdy. wanted to extend my current Mitsui insurance frm Dec 07 to Mar 08 so that it runs together with the road tax expiry date. was quoted $75 for 3 mths of coverage extension with Mitsui.

took the chance to ask for quotes for a full year of insurance with:

NTUC = $253

AXA = $290

didnt dare to check for Mitsui since the girl on the phone confirmed that premiums for Mitsui has soared.

my age 24yrs. riding experience 4yrs. Fw plate. :)

hope this helps

exactly Don, tt's what i meant. soft compounds offers so much grip that i feel is too much overkill cuz CBR150R is a slow bike mah, relax relax wan.

on another note, 15k sounds like an appropriate mileage to change tires, for me tt means about 1.5yrs per change. sounds good.

anyway, your insurance is so much cheaper than mine. is yours 3rd party only or with fire and theft? dun tell me comprehensive coverage, i'll go tear down income's signboard later. :cheeky:

i'm probably dropping by income Jurong later to renew insurance and road tax for my TA200. quoted $434 for 3rd party. road tax is $37 per 6 months. :smile:

no need lah, yours 6 months already. i was eyeing thisisme's fresh stock tires. anyway, if i changing i'll take BT39. i just dun see how much safer those tires are considering the fact that not many of us ride fast anyway. i just dun get it so i might just changed it myself and try out. :smile: :smile:
