guys, i just bought a can of high temperature spray paint, and would like to make a trip in to JB to get the mechs to spray paint my header and end can. those who have seen my bike know what lousy shape my end can is in, and i would believe most of our steel headers would be rusty with normal use.

so, who would like to go in for spraying+various maintenance+'zheng' your bike+ramly+satay+petrol run outing? my can of paint should be able to spray 2-3 endcans+headers, so i'm happy to share.

if anyone's keen, just give some rough ideas of day and time. for me, weekday evenings and anytime weekend is ok.

we'll need some 'old birds' like Wandi and Derrick to show us around the yummy eating areas. so let's see how this goes!

oh ya, i just flushed my coolant with Engine Ice. it's a high end coolant. until now, my review for it is that it's not worth double the price for Engine ice. :sian: Guinea Pig number one. :cheeky:

:faint:

that bad?

looks like the Maxima Cool Aide seems like the one w/ the best review (by thisisme) so far

i tried waterwetter on my KRR last time. not much noticable effect cause KRR doesnt seem to have engine heating issues. the damn temp gauge doesnt move any bit even on hot days. :cheeky:

i wonder how it will fare on my current CBR150.

I normally jus buy those parts from a Bangkok Honda dealer & sometimes when the guys check the local SG market price - it is jus a little bit cheaper or more expensive. Maybe the local SG dealer get them at wholesale pricing.

Some items are very bulky to handcarry - if small items no problem.

thanks for the advice. looks like i'll go visit Chong Aik soon again!

no problems la... maybe let me be the test subject first. i still want to go visit some shops to get info about what anti heat anti corrosion paints used on ship engines. maybe that one better. i'm sure there's a solution to this!

not that fantastic, but definitely not bad lah. when normal riding the needle is 1\8 lesser than when using stock coolant. also seems like it doesn't rise that fast.

haven't try out during traffic jams yet, maybe it's time to go town during rush hour!! :cheeky: :cheeky:

limbat can help u get certain parts, not all he can bring in. alternatively u can go FJT or Chiong Aik, they are authorised honda dealer in SG. definitely much cheaper than bikeshops but dun include labour charges lah. they sell only.

ha. cant stand the idea of putting a box on the cbr leh.

still considering whether wna make the swop a not. ha.

Bro, to conclude the coolant not good is it? Does temp gauge go more than half with this coolant?

hmm... i recall being able to read those meters in the night. either i have night vision i didn't know, or i guess your bulb blow.

anyways, i recall reading before that during long riding in rain, the air cleaner may get damp/wet and reduce the air intake, thus not allow for proper combustion. or something.

Our CBR150 have 2 type of air cleaning element - air filter & air cleaner. They are located at different places. 1 is below the fuel tank & the other by the side of the bike seat, respectively.

all have both, T10 size bulbs. careful if u're buying aftermarkete ones, usually their wattage is way higher than stock. causing it to blow again prematurely. :sian: 1.7Watts is the stock wattage if my memory didn't fail me. limbat can confirm?
