i prefer to use RJ London. i find that the nozzle sprays out the paint more even and consistent. anyway, those DIY hardware stores in shopping malls do carry paint markers according to brand of auto manufacturer. e.g. Honda red, Mitsubitshi black, etc

 

i think you're talking about the Homefix DIY franchise. the red that fits mine is the Hyundai Hip-Hop red, but they no stock. their next batch of stocks will come in sometime this month.

 

how much are RJ Londons? the nippon costs about $5 per can.

I'm guessing overtrade? Like cars? They valuate your bike according to age and condition, then you have to top up the balance? This is just a guess how it might be but not sure if bikes have this kind of thing. For example,

 

1) Bike costs $6k otr when you bought it.

2) You have paid $2k from downpayment and installments.

3) So, you still owe the shop $4k.

3) When they evaluate your bike, they give it a $3k value.

4) So, to trade in your bike, you have to pay an additional $1k on top of the new bike price.

i really believe that it depends on the style of riding. hard acceleration and braking is very fuel inefficient. if you could time your engine breaking so that you don't have to stop at traffic lights, you'd actually get more mileage since no energy is wasted in breaking.

Hehehehe... Nothing serious or nasty lah... Just asking only... Well, I only got my bike in Nov 07. Already repair brake and change throttle cable and change EO twice. Then going to make my gear very soon too coz it's very stiff now.. Wear slippers to ride my bike sure die.. Feet sure bleed I think hehe.. Hmmm.. Seems like its not so cheap maintenance afterall for my bike eh??? 200plus km need to pump petrol liao...

 

Actually all these r excuses lah I guess... My 1st choice has always been SP lor.. Maybe most new riders prefer these kind of bikes? haha.. Still tempted to buy leh hehehe... Didn't do so that time coz I felt very uncomfortable when test riding it... Maybe too new rider, not used to 2 stroke bikes lor.. So dare not take it.. Also afraid of the high maintenance lah.. But well, my CBR fuel consumption now also like SP/TZM/KR liao.. Only add 2t only... So y not? haha... Maybe I'm too naive? Hmmm....

 

But don't get me wrong.. CBR is still a very gd bike I have to say... Hehe.. Just my heart still thinking of SP hehehehehe....

Hmmm... I don't speed one lor.. the fastest I went was at night when no cars lor at 120km.. Normally I very slow rider one.. I also tried changing gears before it reach 6rmp, then tried 5rmp... Both the same.. Doesn't help at all leh... Maybe my engine breaking still not up to the mark.. But can this cause my bike to have as much as 20km/l less than some who can run up till 50km/l???

U definitely got a pt there... Hehe... Who knows? If I really got SP for myself and regret it after that?

 

Well as for run in, impossible lah since it's old bike lor.. I don't know what happen man.. The throttle cable spoilt just like that... Shared my story quite some time back that I got chopped big time.. Change cable for $68 bucks lor... Sianz haha..

dont think our gears are as stiff compared to the cubs (try moving yr foot underneath a cub's gear lever and hook upwards to change gear then u will get wat i mean)

 

is yr bike using the stock footrest? try lubricating the joints along the gear lever + see if the situation improves with a new replacement of engine oil.

Oh thanks for ur help... CBR is the only bike I've touch since leaving BBDC hehe.. Think muz try other bikes to know abt the gears....

 

Oh ya I think mine is stock one.. I've replace EO b4.. 1st few days got improve just a little bit.. Then back to normal again hehe..
