hahaha just do a illegal u turn and go straight can already lo.

really? i tho there's quite alot to do at cbr150.

.

this route is dangerous, alot of cars.

seldom i see ppl service cbr150, my friend last time rarely service

i did enquire abt a full service w/ the guys at unique motorshop.

full service in this sense means opening up the engine and checking for parts that require replacement.

if there's nothing too major that requires replacement, then its going to cost ard $200 - $300.

tink our bike slightly different from 2stroke sportsbikes which require frequent valve washing, decarbonising of engine block & piston, etc cause we dont use 2T.

:cheeky:

even i ride rxz n kr, i also nv do full servicing, cos no need to spend these unnecessary money.

can use STP products to solve the problem.

full servicing if u wan to do is done at every 20000km.

for 2T bikes: valve washing? open valve everyday to keep it clear of carbon.

no such thing as decarbonize the engine block n piston, its servicing them.

if bike no problem, best dun do full servicing, cos if do full servicing then workmanship not gd, the problem comes

anyway, the trip to kukup was a great experience in terms of travelling on malaysia trunk roads.

the grp travelled at relatively comfortable speeds.

the grp size was huge. there was at least 50 - 60bikes.

but the food wasnt as fulfilling as we ended up having only seafood lunch & no dinner. the weather was hot enough to turn off anyone's appetite for seafood anyways. so the lunch wasnt as seafood-liked as i would expect.

any pros here gd w/ the roads in perling? (wonder if derrick sees this)

maybe we can head there for a real good seafood meal some day.

power lah kukup trip, seafood sounds yummy

O.O

but i think our bike doesn't really that much maintenance. maybe every 10,000km requires a full service or so. just open the engine block to polish and wash inside? hahaha

actually in terms of mechanical terms, 2strokes engine are simpler inside as compared to a 4strokes engine. but i don't know why 2stroke need to do so many things everytime just to maintain the power or what so ever.

ars bike already, thus requires much more maintenance. :dot: :dot:

actually 4 stroke no need to do full servicing every now n then.

i 2 stroke nv do anything much leh, if u got spare cash then go servicing if u like.

cos i feel that y some 2 stroke n 4 stroke riders like to do full servicing, change this change that every few months, not necessary

does their $200 - $300 includes changing the spoilt parts? i don't think so rights?

how come its so expensive siol. is 4stroke really that hard to disassemble?

i think if go inside J.B $200 - $300 (sgd) includes opening + changing the spoilt parts already lol.

if 2B already so expensive, omg about the class 2. $800 - $1000? lols :dozed: :dozed: :dozed:

haizz, u read my above post.

cls 2 n 2a cost abit more, but they know when to service n take care of them.

next, need to order from authorized parts agent which is another headache. cause u duno whether the malaysian agents got cbr150r parts on hand (our model is new to them). if they dont have ready stocks, means u need to wait for another god-knows-how-many days.

i trust (read sarcasm) the JB mechs enough to know that they will sell you anything that fits. if it don't fit, can force/file/cut/sand/modify.

they know you're probably not going to leave the bike there overnight or for a few days, so better squeeze you for every cent they can. hey, it's a dog-eat-dog world out there.

yeah, i feel that the exhaust is at least proportionate looking. 2 strokers exhaust looks like hotdog- long and thin.

with regard to mileage, i can only share my own statistics, as i can't speak for all. i average between 45-50, pumping full tank every 7-10 days. i know Nils could probably go more than 2 weeks on a full tank. lucky bugger...

with regard to racing footrest, d0n has tried before. the keyword being 'tried', means it's not a functional as it looks. =P

thx for sharing... ur millage is avg city riding or highway riding? coz i'll most probably be riding on expressway 70% of the time at avg spd of 110...

but racing footrest nt functional as in? no chg in riding posture? nt durable? ugly? :cheeky:

er... i would say 60% city 40% highway. if highway most of the time i would get better mileage.

the feedback from a racing footrest user was that the rear brakes become difficult to apply at that awkward angle. you will be pressing back, instead of pushing down. your input, d0n?

I guess you better think carefully about this changes. Its not that easy for you to adapt riding CBR since you got used to SP. Somemore, your average is at 110. I think you only can get the average FC with your average speed (not modifying anything on the bike). Not that I advice you not to change, but I think you got to test ride CBR yourself, then you decide.

For me, I like CBR the most compare to all other 2b bike. First is the good looking and second is the exhaust sound. :cheeky:

Anyone of you guys can get FC 45kpl with average riding at 110?

Btw, what is your average FC for your current SP?

Guys, ride safely. Road is not for playing.

Ask you all guys, is there a different for our FC between riding pillion and no pillion? If there is, will it be very much different? Roughly figure?

i just checked out the fluorescent orange you bought, damn it's bright! the fella must be blind to not see you. or maybe he'll become blind after seeing you.

i don't know about 6pm, but i think weekend they confirm got no time to do for you, cos it's quite a tedious process. i think weekdays got better chance, and price.

anyways today went JB for petrol about 1.30pm. came out 4pm, after food. only drizzled a little here and there, nothing major.

hahaha ya lo purposely buy the brightest orange that i can find out there.

hope to achieve some result which is like

O.O i only woke up at 3+ and went like around 4 like that. damn my luck never mind :giddy:

yeah its the orange which i think they used it for those life saving jackets color and those life saving boats lol.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

found this on the net, tot some of u guys might be interested in taking a look.. nothing much..

the next time u wanna open up that throttle of urs, or road-hog to the max, think twice!!

If this apply for our bike, it means 60 for city riding, 90 for highway riding is the best speed in terms of FC efficiency. Am I right to say that?

Oups, the attached is not quoted. Dono how to attach though. pai seh....

Just know what you guys talking about after seeing the pix. Pai seh....

At first I thought that kind of wheel is originally orange colour, now then I know that it was sprayed.

Btw, is it very difficult to DIY?

my sp can only go ard 20km/l:cry: cbr seems like have double fuel efficiency... esp wif the petrol prices nw... fuel efficiency v. impt lo... i thk even a cbr 400 uses lesser petrol...

i dint open the valve frequently enough on mr previous KRR

ended up there was a accumulated layer of black carbon on the piston head.

the main issue was the reduced brake efficiency after fixing up the racing footrests.

if there is a way to keep the efficiency similar to the original footrest, i will go back to racing footrests anytime.

but i don't know why some images from the google search show the rims are in black of the older versions.

cause it's surely looks better in orange.

and i'm hoping that fluorescent orange is the cloest to the stock orange.

Hi guys, back online and still a bit tired (and sun burnt) from the Kukup trip. It was really good although indeed the seafood was somewhat limited but that wasn't the reason I went anyway... it was all about the ride and that was great! For sure must do this with a group of CBR150 cause its a great experience to tour the smaller roads. Not too much speed but just enjoying the ride....

Check out the pictures at the thread for the trip, not often u see so many bikes in convoy and occupying the seafood restaurants and parking in Kukup...

Btw, for those on budget, I spent in total less than 60 Ringit (including petrol)... so it doesn't have to be an expensive affair

Good to see and hear that both of you enjoy the ride and most importantly came back safely. Will try to join you guys if there is another trip if the timing is right. Cheers

surely will have la, force= mass X acceleration.

i only 52kg, that's why FC so high. =P

er, the general idea is the same, but the exact figures may not apply to us.

easiest way to tell is to spray on paper, let it dry, then go match.

i've tried color matching my red, bought 2 of their closest colors, yet it's not exact. but close. it works for spraying non red items like brake and clutch levers, but if you spray some portion that stands next to the original color, you'll see the difference.

if you have the right tools and know how to remove the wheels, the answer is no.

but that in itself may already be a challenge to some.

I think the challenge is not so much to take the wheels out but to put them back in (and align them properly)... o_O
