:giddy:

sounds good. mine very old already. since my bike looks so new now, my heart a bit itchy to get the front part changed too, to compliment it..

speaking of which, where can i get a whole screw makeover? hahaha.. some screws rusty.. i see already not very pleased. esp the two big bolts at the handlebar there, at the clamp/yoke/whatever u call it..

latest update on the damage which awaited me when i went to pick up my bike juz now.

SGD$450/-

:faint:

still gotta change my chain + sprocket + rear tyre within 1 week or so.

those 2 are just "caps" if they are rusty, most likely the front fork had problems before and the bikeshop knock on those 2, causing the chrome to wear off and thus rust sits in...

anyway, if u looking at screws, theres a shop thats recommended by Uncle Lim and Zed had recce on.. its 1 lane in front of Ah Boy.. u may want to check it out...

eh so how?? why no one ans my reserve oil tank question?!?!

Our "main" tank if thats what u call it is just the only tank we have..

theres no reserve tank and supposedly our reserve is 1L of the full 10L but there will not be indication that states u are running on the reserve already..

So, just use redline as guage ba..

Singapore is not big but to push the bike ard looking for petrol station is no fun either!!!

there is a shop that sells screws along the row that is behind the coffee shop opposite of LAB.

just remember to tell them you want Stainless Steel when you show them your sample so you won't have rust problems in the future.

unfortunately, i don't think they will carry the bolt that you're talking about. it's part of the fork, when removed the internal springs will pop out. or at least from what i can see from Uncle Lim's parts book.

What u mean is, Zed, whenever u run dry, u pump from other people's tanks (like last weekend when u 'borrowed' some from Derrick. If thats your idea of an attached jerry can, we can all do it ;-P

My tank just never seems to get empty, it goes on and on and on.... etc.. after a week of driving can still go another 2 weeks... LOL

quite satisfied with techtron platinum. But... pocket 1 big hole. as i pump full tank. around $20+ if i still can remember...

eh hellow, you leave you house enter BKE to PIE exit Toa Payoh where you work, then same route when go home, how to spend petrol?

Bro, i think the thing that is stopping you from running 160 is that big fat ugly fixture at the back of your bike aka box. lol... remember how i managed to run 160 on full stock conditions. well now even with 41 sprockets i can only reach 160. i think when time to change chain and sprockets i want to revert back to stock size. same top plus better pick up...

i tink getting the rider to reduce some weight/mass may have a greater impact than removing the rearbox~

just look at our rossi derrick. he have got a 45litre rearbox too!

:p

the screws for our fairings are pretty much required to be stock due to the small metal bracket clip-ons which the screw threads are on.

the only ones which u can play around with will be those for the front windshield, the one at the side fairing matt black color portion & lower fairing part next to the footrests.

the 2 big screwheads u c at the handlebar area are the covers for our front forks. unlikely u can change them at cheap price. alternative is to hook up with zed and get him to do some carbon fibre pieces to overlap the exposed rusty areas!

:p

alternatively, buy some chrome stickers and cut them to the correct shape and size and paste them over the rusty parts.

there is probably some form of guarantee for the inner parts shall they give way within my running-in phase. important factor is that i trust the mechs.

but he got some added features like racinge cdi and stuffs. i think box spoils aerodynamics. i saw somewhere in the CBr manual stating that we are not allowed to attached box to our bike as its a sport bike.

interesting stand.

i shall await the day when we see a matching yellow box, because SHE says so.

eh hello, I never take BKE cause got ERP gantry and these days I do hillview ave first before upper bukit timah cause got another gantry right in front of my doorstep. Can choose, spend money on petrol or spend (more) money on ERP... easy choice

Besides, u r at home, u go to school and back, then what? Singapore only 40 by 20 km so how far can u ride?

Posted

Well, as far as I can tell, box or no box, sitting up or sitting behind windscreen (as much as possible) still cannot go faster. Most aerodynamics really only start working when u go into the slightly higher speeds like 120 and above.

Btw Wandi, how can u read in the manual about whether or not to attach box, can u read Thai?

Anyways, I agree that if I did not have to carry lobang around, for sure I would remove the box but practicality (and dry cloths) wins...
