interesting stand.

i shall await the day when we see a matching yellow box, because SHE says so.

Actually, for most people, when 'she' arrives on the scene, the 2 wheels are usually traded in for 4 wheels (and I am not talking about 2 bikes, no)

when you are young, you have a lot of time and no money; when you are old you have less time to spend, but make up with more money-

once said a wise man.

I wonder who that may have been... o_O

i tink getting the rider to reduce some weight/mass may have a greater impact than removing the rearbox~

just look at our rossi derrick. he have got a 45litre rearbox too!

:p

Erh... are you lighter than derrick? I dont think so. No offence huh Derrick. :cheeky:

but he got some added features like racinge cdi and stuffs. i think box spoils aerodynamics. i saw somewhere in the CBr manual stating that we are not allowed to attached box to our bike as its a sport bike.

Agree with u about Derrick bike. And rmbr 1 more thing, his front sprocket is 14T and Rear is 44T,not 42T. Im sure nobody can catch him in accelerating if he is as slim as Zed and without box.

Well, as far as I can tell, box or no box, sitting up or sitting behind windscreen (as much as possible) still cannot go faster. Most aerodynamics really only start working when u go into the slightly higher speeds like 120 and above.

Btw Wandi, how can u read in the manual about whether or not to attach box, can u read Thai?

Anyways, I agree that if I did not have to carry lobang around, for sure I would remove the box but practicality (and dry cloths) wins...

LOL..... I believe only 1 out of 1000000 Non-Thai can read Thai. I think Wandi is referring to CBR125 manual lah...

i using esso8000 ron 98, quite gd

I hve been using all 3 types petrol from Esso. 98 is the best but considering the price, I prefer 92. 95 made my bike run not smooth at all, the engine so noisy. In summary,

98 smoothest

92 smoother

95 ......

I feel 98 Esso is smoother than Shell 98.

my body not as areodynamic as yours ma.., without box also got bloody lots of air resistance. So, decided to put box lor..

then try adopting my body shape.

i fit my tummy as near to the fuel tank as possible, so that oncoming air that hits the fuel tank will continue in a smoooth flow up my tummy and over my shoulders and visor.

the rear box exerts downward pressure so that the bike does not take off into the air upon reaching 140kmph. so it acts smth like the rear spoiler on cars.

for better visuals, imagine the airflow to be in the direction of the honda wings on my fuel tank.

if u r into asthetics, can try getting those wires w/ thicker cores from Sim Lim Tower.

these are actually for speakers but probably are higher in quality by reducing the loss in sound quality through lower resistance.

they come in transparent wire insulation covers in colors like red and blue.

:cheeky:

using these wires to run the connection from battery to relay may probably reduce the chances of running into a situation whereby the horn doesnt sound when u press the horn button? :p

im using these wires for the simple grounding i did.

anyways, just to continue flooding the thread, latest update on prices from LAB.

DID O-ring chain (box says made in japan) + sprockets (front sprocket some japanese brand 15teeth, rear sprocket honda 42teeth) + installation = $88

TT900 (Thai) 90-80/17 + installation = $53

prices up and up!

any idea if we still can pump at malaysia.

according to other forums, malaysia released that foreigners still can buy petrol but at an unsubsidized rate which is RM $3

convert back to SGD it's about $1.30

Quote [ According to today's straits times, petrol price is RM 1.92 and subsidy is RM 1.08, total is RM 3.00, still cheaper than our petrol by a big margin. ]

Foreigners to pay full price for fuel, says Pak Lah

Thu, May 29, 2008

The Star

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said an announcement on how this would be done would be made when the time was right.

"Foreigners will definitely have to pay the full price when we make the announcement and (when we) enforce it immediately," he told a press conference in Parliament here yesterday.

Abdullah said some people had taken advantage of the country's cheaper fuel prices by smuggling it into other countries for a profit.

He also said the Government would decide on the use of the MyKad for petrol purchases soon.

On another matter, Abdullah said it was all right for Umno members, including those who were MPs, to make constructive criticism against the Government or party policies as long as they got their facts right.

"Our current practice is not like we are going to take serious action against them, but if what was said was factually wrong, then the party must take action," he said.

He was asked to comment on backbencher Pasir Salak MP Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman's call to Abdullah to review the position of Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.

Tajuddin had said in the Dewan Rakyat that Zaid had made baseless allegations against him that had also insulted the Prime Minister by going against the Government's policies.

Abdullah said Zaid and Tajuddin would eventually become good friends again after this incident.

On the Election Commission's proposal to re-register voters, the Prime Minister said it was brought up by commission chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman, but he had not discussed it with the commission yet.

On Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said's request for the Federal Government to return the state the oil royalties, Abdullah said the Government had not made a decision on the matter yet.

On talk of Barisan Nasional Sabah and Sarawak MPs crossing over to the Opposition, Abdullah said he had not received any report from the Anti-Corruption Agency on the matter.

Regards,

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.
