Mine are Halogens - they cost more at $12 each - new version now in stock. The old version I tooled, a super white using a Silverstar type filament but the lifespan is too short.

The newer version has a different rating - so hope they will last longer & give less problem.

uncle lim~

chope 1 of the white 25w/25w for me~

hehe

shall get 1 to experiment 1st cause my bike is cyclops anyway

my still got 2k more... to change engine oil...

How often do you guys change oil. I normally change every 2k cause I run short trips ( only 7km from home to work ). So when running short runs engine oil tend to get bad faster. So even though the manual says 3k I do it 2k and I use mobil motorcycle engine oil. What do you use?

I used that on my first oil change when i got my bike. The previous owner lied to me and when the oil was drained it was abit burnt. And the owner told me 1 week ago just change. zzz..

So safer when buy already immediately head down to your regular mechanic and check the bike out.

My friend's mechanic recommended me to change oil at every interval of 2K KM. Several reasons though,

1) he told me that i'm a heavy [weight] rider, reason being why the bike sometimes do not responds its due to the quality of the engine oil, he reccomeneded me mobil fully syn, 10w 40. Well, i was skeptical with what he said, but at the ride from AGL to home, it did improve and shifting gears was quite effortless, the pick up did improve by a wee bit. But deemed negligible, cos its only ABIT. and it might be my mental playing up. [but changing the CDI really makes the bike fly.]

2) As of now, I'm riding to work everyday, about 30 + km each day just from work to home and home to work.. I cruise at speeds about 80 to 100kmh and sometimes overtaking will up to 120, but its hardly being done till 120kmh.. and sometimes i accelerate hard, so i guess my oil will be like working in the extreme regions.

As some of the people know, I'm pretty anal with my stuff, even if my bike has a small fault like the number plate's screw 1 side thats missing, i will get pretty irritated... So i believe having good oil is like giving good vitamins to your bike that serves you. As the saying goes..

"if you treat your bike well, your bike will treat you well too"

Do not service your bike, one day your brakes goes to heaven, and you hit a rear of a truck.. You can't blame the bike.

You do not check tyre pressure of the bike, one day it blows off and sending you into a skidd, You can't blame bridgestone, the nail, the screws, the bike...

So, spend a bit of time weekly, maybe 1hr or so to wash your bike, and do some visuals on the bike.. check out stuff that is not in order or appear to be not in order.. This is save you quite alot of time and cash in case of a breakdown. :thumb:

Stanlo man! the website not V accurate de leh. Car EO and bike EO not the same. Can search the forum lo, got some talks about the car eo Vs the bike EO.. but some says it works for their bike... so ok lo....

oh well. i dont have $$ to do stunts like this.. so i dont wanna try lol

Washing bike .... is a waste of time ... if u ride in expressway all the time... 1 to 2 day later ur bike will dirty...

do what stunts? the Magnetised oil traps?

hahaa to you is a waste of time. Try not washing your bike lor. then next time u wanna sell, don't be surprised that someone same bike, same design, same plate, same price can sell first.

It is like a investment to see of your bike got anything loose, anything missing or not at the same time. And washing up yr bike keeps it clean and nice. why not.

stains that stains there for a long time when you wanna remove it, it will be pain in the a5s. :thumb:

the stunt is to use car EO instead of bike EO. Come to think of it. if they are the same, why don't they just label everything the same? like

"MOBIL ENGINE OIL

10w 40.

FOR CAR AND BIKE BOTH ALSO CAN, AIYA SAME SAME LAR"

instead of..

"MOBIL ENGINE OIL

FOR BIKES ONLY

BIKE CAR NO SAME SAME LAR"

for washing, I do weekly at my off ( coz free waterpump )since I brought last yr, even raining. While i washing, i check part by part for safty.:D If something wrong, I go stright to mach which i cant do.

for EO, I used ESSO Gold fully syn S$18 every 3000-3500km coz I m heavey rider ard100km/day.

for plug, I used OWS irrdium for every 9000-10000km.

for tyre. I used BT039 which can use 15000-17000km only for me.

Then I used esso 8000, FC 40km/l, average 100-110km speed.

just information for ppl who new 150 rider..

For me i wash it once a week on every sundays. As i wash i also look out for abnormal signs from my bike.

My checks are...

check the EO using dip stick.

check electrics.

Check tyre pressure

Check brake liquid enough or not.

Check chain is it too saggy.

Check fairing all secure ma?

check the fairing screws, lube if needed.

check my speedo, handlebar lock and stuff.

then at night go pump petrol.

I travel around 30km a day, not alot but i ride hard. speed is mostly in xxx km/h range.

My first EO is change after my friend tested my bike saying, omg. Somethings not right. Changed into mobil fully synthetic one [10w 40]

Havent changed my plugs yet.

my FC is about 33 - 35 km/L [using HRC CDi] n 39km/l using stock CDi.

and i realised that now i'm getting more and more throttle happy to my CBR.. I change gear at 6k rpm or sometimes 7.5k i tried changing at 4 or 5.. but it was too slow to keep up with traffic at tuas.

oh well hope you guys know what i mean when you guys travel AYE/ PIE to tuas in peak hrs. :thumb:

PS: tdks, its really a good habit to wash and check out your bike. really.

and

usually before i start my bike in the morning, i start the bike alrdy and tilt my bike to the upright position and hold for a few secs.. HOPEFULLY the EO will be evenly distributed. and i always warm up my bike b4 moving off.
