When u dont sayank sayank ur bike, she will give u problem. This apply to any kind of bikes.

I didnt know our CBR is so problematic until Chris take over Red Fang.

Look at Don and Uncle Lim's bikes. Where got problem 1.

When the time to overhaul comes, just do it & ur CBR will be back to normal.

xbfish, just do the overhaul & ur bike will be back to tip top condition. Maybe its time for ur bike to overhaul. Spend 1 time money is better than spend lot of times stressing over it.

Yes david, you are right. Hopefully this overhaul will solve all the freaking problem I had especially the white smoke and fluctuation of RPM.

Yep he is right.... i really whacked it hard when i took over.... hahhaha.. And it probably was the final nail in the coffin for a 5 year old bike...

You still got chance to whack. I don't even have chance to whack and got problem liao.

to xbfish: the bike really did last me for quite a period, you should have seen derrick ones it lasted him even longer even though he rides to daily and hard and fast.

for me i think yes it lasted me very long, but, i am a softcore user. In a week of 7 days, sometimes i only ride it for 4 days and its mainly for short distance. I think bikes are meant to be ridden for daily use, but of course following up with routin maintainence.

Now i am only thinking of making my bike nice and clean, so that it can last me good for the entire 2 years through my NS life, or atleast half of it. haha.

to chris: wah are you sure you wanna sell it already? sick of the bike le ah chris? haha some more someone going to be upp-ed into the moderators hor!! haha oh well chris why not wait till like you get 2a already then get a drz? you know it pays to wait and hang in there..

to zed: i think you should abandon the pro arm project. because i think it aint a very smart and economical choice.. you will end up having to spend the components are is near obsoulete in this market.

rmb what alex told you @ everfit?

Oh yes, just came back from Planet. Chris got back his bike finally.

Actually my bike has no problem, it was the coolant tube spoil and the coolant flow through the top block and into the engine.

This results the piston and the piston ring chao ta so that explains the occasionally white smoke and unstable idling RPM.

sounds like ur bike just did a stanley.......

last time we tried to help stanley flush radiator... end up nothing came out. why? cos there was some leak somewhere and the coolant end up flowing into the engine until radiator nothing to drink.

just curious ZR. what fuel additives u use? does it improve anything?

hmmmmmmm........ cos if it doesnt improve our gd FC but ends up doing long term good to the engine/fuel tank, or both, i might consider adding it.

Yeah top block leaking coolant. When I go for overhaul, the already fix this problem by changing the radiator tube.

Try using Maxima 10W40 EO. Pretty good when I change EO yesterday when riding home.

Speaking of changing EO, I wasted $15 because today my engine was stripped down :sian:

lol $15 eo is the semi syn one.. U try the fully syn one. more smooth and shiok. RPM climbs more readily imo.

LOL a i paced a KR with it. Johor KRR. manage to hit 130 constant.

used it on my thailand trip. manage to 120 all the way. from SG to A.keroh manage to whack 140 at certain points.
