Cigarettes Rulez fr JB thru Sg Customs

:confused: haiz...nowadays cigarettes r so X in sg tat smokers need 2 acquire cheaper in other ways... etc in jb 1 pac of Marlboro onli 6.50RM = $3.20. Imagine hw much u save!

 

One can onli bring 19 sticks regardless of brands or where, when going thru Sg Customs check.

 

If u have (let's say 5 sticks of Sg Cigarettes in ur pocket when u enter JB, in JB, u buy another hard pack, total up equal 25 sticks, den u better make sure when returning back to Sg, u must either smoke away 6 sticks or throw away. Customs r quite strict regarding Cigarettes nowadays. Anyway also quite malu when kena caught! :smile:

 

Sometimes the officers will ask u to stop by the side, den they ask for ur PASSPORT, LISCENSE, INSURANCE for routine check. Den they will 100% check ur bike, ur body etc... depending....

 

If u die die wan 2 try ur luck.... well here the conseq....

 

1st time offence = Warning + paying taxes of no. of packets of cigarettes!

(1 or 2 packets more, usually the kind officers giv chance.)

 

1st time offence(Worst of all) = $500 fine + paying taxes of no. of packets of cigarettes! ( Ps: You either pay on the spot or they will threaten to charge u! Btw they accept NETS too.... Lolz)

 

2nd time offence = $1000 fine + paying taxes of no. of packets of cigarettes! ( Also on the Spot). + a harsh warning.

 

3rd time offence = hohoho! Stubborn right! They CHARGED You!!! A bad record to ur name!

 

Btw 1st and 2nd time offence, if u r caught....u will NOT have a police or criminal record to ur name! Onli the Customs keep the record to themselves!

:giddy: Another point to note! Especially those riding Sp or Kawa or TZM!

 

If ur pipe is extremely NOISY or wif LOTS of WHITE SMOKE, BEWARE!

u might be asked to stop when returning at SG customs( after stamp passports ), the officers might blow ur throttle and comment tat ur bike has lots of white smoke etc...

 

YOU MAY BE FINED $70 FOR EXCESSIVE OF WHITE SMOKE. Cos they r from the NEA! But luckily the office onli 8-5 pm so when returning at night, u r safe! :cheer:

perilly's comes in 20's and 25's. haf brought in 24 sticks for a few mths and CHECKED without probs faced

late nite also quite dangerous. some of them will check whole bike one. kena before, after checking my bag he asked me to open my underseat, search through the compartment but he very nice to put back nicely for me. beside me another bike there wit 1 officer. the officer was holding a torch lite and the biker unscrewing a compartment for him to check too.

maybe they didn't noe cos of the uncmmon brand... aniwae 19 sticks tat's their rulez!

 

Unscrewing is uncommon and unlikely unless officers find u suspicious or xia lan! unscrew most likely check 4 cigarettes too.... maybe 10 packets in a carton>?

erm dun be too happy with the "smuggling" of DVD... In actual fact as long as not passed Singapore Board Of Censor, it considered "pirate" but many officers "close eye" cheers...

let me relate an incident many yrs ago...

my frend went JB to buy vcds... not sure how many he bought but he sure had hundreds or even thousands at home

anyway... he was checked at custom... found with those vcds on him but the custom officers let him go

thinking it was alrite he jux bring everything home

next day... duno is it police or custom ppl went to his place with search warrant

not sure wad is the fine for possessing a piece of pirated vcd but i heard he needed to pay $200,000+

end up he rather go jail...

but no matter wad... jux be discreet... if u were checked at customs & found to have such things & they let u go... be careful... clear wadever illegal stuffs u have at home... why push ur luck?
