Hi,

 

anyone here using TV tuner card to watch TV/Cable TV programmes on their PC?

 

if so, can recommend which brand and model good?

The Leadtek TV2000XP is quite good, comes with lots of useful features like FM tuner, direct burn to VCD/DVD, remote control, and (not totally real) picture-in-picture. Had a Pinnacle PCTV but gave me lots of driver problems.

i use Pinnacle PCTV pro card.. no problem and to me... quite good except when do recording.. the sound not good... the best part is i used the remote as other function like.... control Wimamp, etc......

What OS and driver version are you using? I have the v5 drivers, but it could not work on Win XP. I tried downloading the v6 at Pinnacle FTP site but it was very slow, and always aborted before the entire file was downloaded.

you insert it like a wi fi card or sth and you get a drive installed into yr cpu (=

 

think this is how it works..not sure :p sorry if wrong info given..

for strong signal, connect direct to cable point. If you want, u can connect an SCV set top as well
