Guys, Im rather upset right now. I want to share this with u all. Pls read at least once, but don't need to comment.

I was travelling back home from work just now along chinese garden/lake side mrt there. The traffic was very clear and smooth. There was this bike 10-15m in front of me. We were both travelling at about the same speed. No other vehicles nearby.

Right at the T-junction, the green light is still ON, the on coming car make a quick turn without stopping, without giving way. The bike right in front of me was knocked down, and the rider flew over the car, about 3m away.

I was shocked of course. I couldn't stop in time since we are close. But Im very sure that when I passed through the junction, the green light was still ON. Not even amber light was shown. So I stopped after the junction and see if I can help anything out.

I question the driver why he never give way. He argued that when he make the turn, the green light with arrow was already ON. Obviously lying and I feel like want to give him a big punch. Of course, I didnt do that.

The rider was bleeding from his nose. But body, arms/legs look okay to me. He was unconcious at first but luckily he was able to talk after awhile. The ambulance came pretty fast, only about 5min. TP came after 20min, and I volunteered to be the witness.

I checked the condition of the car and bike, the impact on the car was from side way because we were both travelling on main straight road. So I can expect to see a big hole on the left side of the car, near the front wheel. (As the car was turning right at T-junction) But I noticed another big hump on the right side (driver side) of the car's windscreen. I guess this must be caused by the rider, having his head knocked on to the windscreen 1st before he flew down to the road.

I learned a few things:

1. Whether you riding 2B or a Class 2 big bike, during such a high impact, the consequence are the same. (The rider was on 2B bike, RXZ I think) So, please ride carefully. And a fullface helmet can really play its role under such situation.

2. As I mentioned, the traffic was very clear and smooth. So I believe most drivers/bikers tend to speed up and think that it is safe to do so. This accident proves otherwise. So, be alert and anticipate anything that could be happened while you are riding.

3. Never give chance to those irresposible drivers. Be a witness and let them bear the consequence.

I wish the rider a speedy recovery.

i noticed that quite a number of former phantom riders who decide on sportsbike when upgrading to c2 bikes choose the CBR600RR. wonder why that is. i donno myself; i mean i chose this bike coz it looks the nicest (to me) among the 600's and the reviews rave about its handling, which i value above all else in a bike including torque or outright power.

Simply fall in love with the 600RR when the '03 model was out. As what u have said, looks and handling. It's hell lotsa different from the super4 i was riding, still feel like riding more when i just got back home...no regrets for buying this bike! :bouncefire:

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

mesh

Hi bro

Look nice

:thumb:

but if you put more effort to press the mesh from inside out

and let the mesh come out a bit it would be nicer than a flat one.

Just a suggestion.

What do you think?

Thanks

Ah ya... that looks like mine ley... Hahah... Will try to take some pics of it when i have time.. I think Buzzbeam the only one who's seen my bike. Wire mesh is thin but suggest you guys buy the 'close knit' ones'. Looks superb.

i kind of like the stock 'vent flaps'.... if only they weren't fake haha.....

i'd like close-knit mesh for the front ram-air ports though....... like the gsx-r's.... those look very fierce....
