Hi fellow CBRian, Shld we change our stock brake cables?

Any recommendation for brake cables?

HEL brake, it depend on personal, normal riding not really cause stock 1 not really f**k up... tracker or touring better do so cause they use more. Usually it can last u for at least 6mth - 1yrs min for stock brake. Ask prankster he is keen to change

haha the cut of the fairing is not that bike just a small half round circle cut so is ok and it free tho =X

Hmmm... I see someone wanna change brake line huh?? Heh... Well, if u're not going for track any moment soon, just use the stock brake line 1st... Doesn't matter.... Just use it till u think its time to change den change loh.... So fast change a bit waste money... But if have loads of money, den of coz by all means, go change it... As for me, i dun have much money, so i prefer to use the stock brake line 1st... Use till need to change den change loh... I've been using it for about 13000km already, and its still workin fine...

 

Btw, if wanna change, i would change to either HEL or Venhill.... Actually from what i think, the brand doesn't matter much, as long as its stainless steel, it would work the same more or less...

Raceshield is this ultra tough sticker. Supposed to protect your paintwork.

I'm most probably getting just the headlights part.

wat i know is you can't hear the ticking of the valves during travelling, ie; can only hear it ticking during warm-up or idling time cos it definitely won't be that too loud. check for your bike for loose screws... can be anywhere...

 

 

I encountered some 'tick-tick' sound last time... I realised i didn't shut my IU unit cover properly

 

it could be ur cam tensioner,can be hear during idling or cold startup.

after warm up the tick sound go off.i did rectify this last time at looi's

under meng tong...

a friend installed on his K8, it took 4 hours & i would advice who ever is installing it on ur bike, come in the morning.. it will take quite some time, just hope there's not many customers...

Bro, i was in the same situation as u.... Bikeshop play punk too....

 

Anyway, as i din wanna let the bikeshop earn more... I just took the "cut" sliders... I brought it to any shop, and told them i bought wrongly, and i would like to install the "no cut" sliders... I ask them if they willin to let me trade in the "cut" sliders anot... They said okie... I dun mind payin a little more... I just din wanna let the shop which sold me the bike earn somemore money...

 

 

 

Yeap Prankster i instinctively did the same as what u did.

 

I told them i'd take the cut sliders and would install myself DIY. Of course it was a lie and i went to bike shop to 'trade in' for a no-cut type.

 

I wouldnt wanna mention the name of the shop, but its somewhere in the west. Im sure some of you will know laa... NWaes i dont care now lahh just out to enjoy my hard-earned bike and have fun with it...
