Looking for the owner of the black CBR600RR (07/08) parked in the Marina Square CP this afternoon- FSxxxx (i think) with an Akra pipe.

 

First of all- your bike was spotless- damn I wish mine was that clean.

 

Second- Where did you get the fender eliminator and taillight? Yours really has a clean look to it. Nice!

my fans kick in at 104. but sometimes, 101-103 it might kick in as well.

 

 

i got my coolant changed to enigine ice at planet. 35 bucks nia.

 

not sure why, but i dun see any dramatic changes improved to my bike temp.

if you want to see a change, use maxima cool-aid. but not necessarily the change you expect; i.e, you WONT see your bike running lower temperatures. what you'll see is the temperature climbing FASTER and running HIGHER in idling, but dropping faster and running lower when continous cruise. this actually means its better than ordinary coolant.

i have no idea..it seems diff 600rr has different temp when the fan kicks in..

$35 is cheapest ive heard so far..i think u need to have silicone hoses also to work with the coolant to have a lower temp..mines samco..

something to note though: a 'good' coolant is one that efficiently throws away the heat produced by the engine. this does not necessarily result in lower temperatures displayed on the temp display. thats why i believe cool-aid (and maybe waterwetter coz it works in the same principle as cool-aid and different to ordinary coolant, but have never tried it) is better than regular coolant including engine ice, based on what i observed on how differently the temperature reads.

 

as an example, if you change to a different brand of coolant and suddenly you find that the air blowing past your legs is even warmer than before, you've just found a better brand of coolant coz its throwing away even more heat than your previous brand.

the manual will state how much engine oil is needed right?? im riding 05 too...if u dont have the manual then i can lend for u to photostat..

hi guys, how to differentiate CBR 6RR 04, 05 and 06 models huh? They look almost the same wor.

04 can easily see the different from 05 - 06 the head n the tail got different

 

where as 05 -06 no different in design

only stock paintwork is different in colour

Hi fellow riders,

 

quick question here. i just bought a cbr6 2005 model - and cannot find any hook in the pillion seat compartment to hang helmet?

 

is that the case for the stock bike ? mine could have been mod by the previous owner as it came with a leo vince full exchuast, although i dont see why the a hook or catch to secure helmet buckle ring to back seat can go missing.
