On the R1 the pump is actually attached to the tank. I would expect same. You remove tank, drain petrol then remove the pump. You remove the filter and clean. Reassemble and everything okay. If filter clogged then may be a good idea to clean the tank as its sure still to have dirt inside.

 

I have a CBR600 service manual on my backup drive at home. Will open and confirm the above is same for a Honda.

Send me your email ID and I will forward the section from the manual on the fuel pump. It is connected to the underside of the fuel tank. Lift the tank up and carefully remove the pump. Some tubes and 6 screws.... On the pump there is a filter which was problem for me. Its rather easy to clean. Would also suggest you do not start this with a full fuel tank. Emptier the better. Its actually not a difficult job.

Hello Everyone, new humble rider here, just bought a cbr600 about 1 month ago, hope to meet up with more cbr600 riders soon. :)

I don't respect people who put others in danger even if he/she is as fast as a GP rider.
