can i change only the normal headlight bulb to philip, says crystal vision, without changing the other high beam bulb (i.e. high beam remains using stock bulb)?

will it cause electrical circuit problem?

or are we supposed to change both sides at any one time...?

i was considering the FP60 primarily because it claims to clean, and secondarily because of more power.

as much as i hate to admit it, as of rite now my bike is a 100% commuter bike. of coz i still wanna track, but even going track every few months, it'll still be 99% commuter bike. i guess its much better than bikes of yesteryear where carbon build-up and stuff realli spoil the bike eventually if ridden like this and not maintained properly. but even tho this bike not gonna 'spoil' ridden like a commuter, eventually i think the performance gonna be less than optimum.

special blend petrol like v-power will probably do the trick just as well, but the thing i realli dun like about v-power is that not only izzit more expensive, my mileage becomes worse. so the extra cost is two-fold. if FP60 can do the same job, on cheaper petrol, without increasing FC, worth trying out.

as for more power, i dun see how anyone might need more power from the 600RR if ridden on local roads. but its always bloody dam fun to have more power :cheeky:

*disclaimer - just my own feel/view on this slider matters.no need to argee to what i will type.

frame slider - my view - it a sacrificer(ok..wrong spelling)

*why call "sacrificer" leh? - it a product where u buy to install & IF an inccident happens(u know what).the slider job is to "replace" with the fairing & kanna "sacrifice" instead of the fairing itself.

A frame slider = S$100 +/-

A LHD/RHD full fairing = $500++ ?

*it easy to see that...the slider is "cheaper" to sacrifice then the original fairing.

How to be a "good" slider? - the metarial used MUST not be too hard till it refuse to be "sacrifice" when the time called.(if the material is so strong, the force will be transfer to the next weakest link-the JOINT.i rather the rubber slider kanna rub then replace the frame or demage result from the broken bolt)

extra bits on the "rubbing" part will just kanna tear away(but will it scratch the fairing?-gods knows)

-purely for "looks"....then go for anything.....ebay even have 1 that has led lights.lolz o_O

-For RR, both high & low beam are in different "Case" & use different physical wire +connector.

so YES,u can change just 1 "side"(high or low) while keeping the other.it would not affect anything EXCEPT if u "on" both...then ur headlamp got two color lor.

u will not have problem with diamond/crystal vision.(other brand/model-no cfm)

btw, today i fiddled wif my suspension settings according to the link Alvzz provided. i noe that one probably meant for ang moh weight, but wat the heck, got adjustable suspensions must play-play if not wat a waste.

provided u noe wat u doing of coz. i onli half-know wat i doing but wat the heck better than not knowing at all :cheeky:

i realized the link is for RR3/4, not RR5. coz the link says fork preload is "2 lines showing", and definitely i see superbike's and enjoy's bikes, can see where the fork is lowered, got line markings showing. but the inverted forks of the RR5, i turn and turn but no lines showing. cant even tell if its going down, i just based on faith and increased by 1 and half turns. the rest i set according to the link, but whether it applies to RR5 is anybody's guess. in general, everything is stiffer, rear pre-load same.

i dun claim to have found ideal settings, but i can say that stiffening the front forks either via preload or compression damping from stock settings is a step in the right direction. i turn tighter coz the forks dun dip so much when i initiate an aggressive turn into the corner, so it tracks the line better. i also tried aggressive braking with the stiffer forks and again they dip less, maintain better weight distribution and feels better. altho it felt like it might be more prone to a stoppie with the stiffer forks, but my aggressive brake was still not aggressive until i really go and stoppie.

ok....maybe this example does not show well in bike context.

http://www.petrolwatch.com.sg/

SHELL V-Power : $1.701

SHELL RON95 : $1.543

Price different : $0.158

For RR4/5 - topup while bar flash - 13.5L (assume)

Cost for both grade of petrol (remember-owner manual stated run on RON95 or more-so actually can run on RON95-just not smooth nia)

SHELL V-power : $1.701 x 13.5L = S$22.96

SHELL RON95 : $1.543 x 13.5L = S$20.83

different of : S$2.13

*1oz of FP60 : S$1.125

*JB -V-power RON97-petrol : 13.5L = S$11.32 + FP60 = S$12.45 !

-----------

IF use FP-60 mainly for save fuel? then no point lor.

But if want the bike to run more smooth by using a slight lower grade petrol - YES,this is the one...yet still cheaper then pumping SG V-power (hmmm......V-power + FP60...i wonder. ) !

always pump JB petrol?..unsure the petrol got "extra" additive anot?....then FP60 will help clean the fuel system lor(dun expect 100% cleaning result hor).
