its a HONDA.

the only reason to 'throw' this bike away is if ur giving up on sportsbikes or bored with it and wanna try the CBR600RR7 or CBR600RR9 or CBR1000RR.

if this bike "not good to keep for long", no bike is.

which is to say, yes you might decide to change bike, but it wont be because the bike has given up, it'd be you.

thanks for the information... btw, do u happen to have any idea of the difference between the 05 and 06 model??

its got a triumph triple cylinder engine, a unique engine in itself and by no means a copycat of any jap manufacturer. so why the need to copy heavily from the lines of the 600rr?

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

RR5 & RR6 only two minor different in the swing arm lenght & turning angle.it in one of the post early on within this tread...do try to read up on it.

be-cos the different of RR5 & RR6 is very minor....the price is above 1k or less different nia.

Honda dont make FASTest/Most BHP bike.but one thing about Honda is.....reliablilty.:thumb:

as long as it a JAPAN made HONDA...it will last.(no offends..but SPAIN made HONDA will rust under 3yrs.wonder is it due to the source of the raw material)

low dp + longer loan term = high interest = long time to break even

yah man. i look at early 90's model CBR900RR Fireblade and they actually look in better condition than 99-01 spec R1's and gixxers. and this from a bike whose era was the yamaha thunderace. u dun even see the thunderace on the roads any more.

why is because they compete in the World Supersports series and British Supersports series. for a bike model to qualify for either of this two series, it must be either a 600cc inline4, or 750cc vtwin, or 700cc triple based on a production model. a lot of overseas club racing have the same rules.

thats why kawa has 2 models: the 599cc ZX-6RR and the 636cc ZX-6R. chances are, u see a zx-6, its the 636cc ZX-6R. to support 2 production bikes, kawa has to sell the ZX-6RR super-expensive price, more expensive than the ZX-6R. this means the ZX-6RR is a totally useless buy unless you buying it to race proffesionally.

and with the triumph being a triple cylinder, 675cc still places it within grounds for proffessional racing.

found the post on the RR5 & RR6 different.

---

Yes,there is TWO change.

same like u...i was tose bewteen RR5 & RR6...end of day...decide on the RR5 for the 1k saving.

booked mine from boonsiew on 19/12...yet to collect bike(my fault,i wasnt in town.the bike, coe, insurance all done liao...just waiting for me to come home).

back to the TWO change.

#1- Turning Radius

RR5 - 10.8 feet

RR6 - 10.5 feet ( 3.2m)

#2- wheelbase

RR5 - 54.5 inchs

RR6 - 54.7 inchs ( 1395mm)

except for THAT....all matters remain unchange...from BHP to weight to ANYTHING(beside color)

http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/s...delId=CBR600RR6

color change except for BLACK...RR5 & RR6 share the same black/sliver design!

local spec (base on euro spec) --> http://www.mc.honda-eu.com/uk/en/sh/cbr600...mages/48446.swf

just to make me feel good for buying a "Ex-yr" model.

#1- color change cost 1k more?

#2- same spec just different model name -RRX ?

#3- RR6 but mfg in 2005?

enough for me to just get the RR5.but thats just me la.
