Ok heres the deal:I just bought this beauty 7months ago and now need to sell as im heading abroad for werk and studies.Buyer need to pay 3month installment upfront and the other paperwork like insurance and transfer fee and then carry-on the installments so there wont be any headaches.details are listed below.

anyway i will be asking the bike shop about valve claerance items this sunday..

+ all the other consumable items like clutch plates, brakes and other things that can spoil or expected to change..

Yup its open. Closed on tuesday. They do not have ready parts for the GTR or ZZR at the shop premises itself, its a small time shop doing repairs and maintenance for mostly kawi bikes. But they can get parts for us way faster then Nevershine. Cos they get it from the agent in KL (SUNROCK). If parts are in stock in KL, can get in 2 days at the JB shop. If have to get from Japan, it takes bout 2 weeks. Got few parts myself from them. So far so good.

 

 

Somehow I get the feeling we are talking about a different shop.

 

The one I spoke to a last month is not open on Sunday and has some GTR parts in stock. They also mentioned KL Sunrock has changed names/management.

 

I will try to locate their no. and give them a buzz to confirm.

i always thought the KL one is called Chear Motors.

if u mention the sun lock, tt means it will be 2 shops right?

 

the JB one, if got 2 shop tt supports kawas will be good

hence candy is sure the shop is opened on sunday, i guess we can take a look.

i`ll be gg in on friday for a biz trip,

can turn in to take a look also..

i will go check out the 2 shops 1st and see if they support our bikes on friday if possible

You talking about yourself? Totally stock bike can do all those...... But my meter only stops at 180km/h... cos it's domestic model....

Anyone experienced smoke coming out of the fairing when start up?

 

Wondering if I've got some insulation trapped against the engine......

 

the bike gets pretty warm but not to the extent of it smoking hot.

 

checked for fallen twigs or leaves between fairing n engine.

That's a good suggestion.

 

I know I should get the fairing off before riding any more but it only seems to last for a minute then goes away....

if u meant that smoke is coming out of the fairing every single time you start the bike then u should get it checked ASAP w/o riding anywhere.

 

i was thinking this was a once off happening.

 

There are a couple of electrical wires/hoses siting closely to the frame, see if they have melted when u remove the fairing.

Bro good luck in your search....... for the legal Akrapovic.... Yes you can fit the one from ZX14 but you need to sacrifice the mainstand, as there's not stopper from the midpipe. I still had the end can lying at home, which I will change before my big trip...

I have experience before on a few fairing bike that i've rode and most of the problem would be insufficient of coolent on the radiator itself and the reserve tank and its cause by the coolent cap that is not functioning.

I'm not sure if its the same prob as mine however u might wanna check the electrical wiring as well near the radiator.
