There's a shop in Malaysia can do it for you. You can also fit up full set of Polis blinkers and siren. I know some of the Malaysian bike groups fitted for the marshalls in the convoy.

They will tell you stuff you already know. Unless you are interested in their new products, which is more for the super bikes. Best person to talk to is Joe. He has wealth of experience in tuning the Ohlins. Need not wait for the ang mo to come and teach us.

Yes dats true, Joe from Sporting was also certified by the Ohlins staff.

The seminar is also combined with a track session the next day where they will do the adjustments based on your feedback.

Haven't been back to the forum for quite some time now..

Looks like the Kawasaki 1400's family has grown..

I'm currently looking for a Bagster tankbra for my ZX14.. Motoworld told me the order will take 2-4 months after paying the deposit.. Any idea where else can I purchase it faster?

Cheers..

best bet is to do a search on ebay or order thru the many 3rd party sites.

they are alot quicker but u would also have to pay more for shipping unfortunately.

about $650

some places throw in all gaskets n seals for that price.

best if u give them notice as the required parts can take more than a mth to arrive.

3 days is about the normal duration.

If you talk about travelling to sino china route on your bike, 2 weeks will not be enough unless you are talking about renting the bikes there. It will be fast and furious ride for you.

most of the older retired riders in the US of A seem to be able to do about 1200mile ride in 3 quarters of a day, day after day for weeks.

dats like SG to Bangkok in one hit.

so 2 wks is possible.

Dont forget to factor in our humid weather and road conditions that we have here up north, but hey, anything is possible.

Aurium > Personally, i think 2 weeks is too short to go on such a trip. I wld suggest u to consider Golden Triangle, MHS loop, ChiangMai, Pai, etc if u only hv 2 weeks to spend. Budget wise, $1k is more than enuf for the trip. Another tip is, best to start your journey in dec~feb. U'll get to experience the cold weather up north. The scenery is just fascinating.

Vara

Good one.

Sometimes I wonder why would riders ride so far and speed through each destination? When you ask them whats good there they tell you dunnoe....

Aurium

For a 2 weeks ride I would suggest you try the route Vara suggested. Budget wise for $2k will be more than enough with 3/4 spent on fuel for your bike.

Aurium,

I did a write up some time back.. I think about a year ago on my trip up north.. Perhaps you can get the distance and timing from there.. I spent about 3 weeks touring..

Was discussing with a friend to do a Laos trip but didn't materialize..
