Legal Age Required to purchase a motorcycle in Singapore

I would like to know more information regarding the legal age required to purchase a motorcycle in Singapore. I am currently 19 and I hope to get my first bike by next year. Is there any chance that I could purchase it without any parental/guardian consent ? (Currently taking a 2B license secretly :smile: ) Or do I have to be above 21 or find myself a guarantor ?

used to be that under 21, contract not enforceable. but since 2009, s. 35 of civil law act allows those above 18 but under 21 to contract. unless there are any particular restrictions on sale of vehicles i think you can purchase without consent. but i guess maybe shops won't want to offer you credit terms (i.e. pay by installments) due to default risk?
