Hi ppl.

 

Can anyone advise on Fazer 600 maintenance costs like? Fuel consumption, cost of tyres, etc...

 

And which year versions are the better one?

maintenance is somewhere close to a S4.

4 x plugs,

3 bottles of E.O (including Oil Filter)

21 litres of fuel tank (including reserve)

road tax is $200 / year

LEAF departure is B`cos of WIND pursit or TREE didn't ask her to stay?

road tax 8% reduction starting 1st sep.. =)

 

to add on... 07 has nicer swingarms, fz1 similar digital display, black engine and frame, better brakes...

Fz6 and Fz1 uses 120/70 and 180/55 for its front n rear tire respectively, so u'v got abundance of tire choices to choose from the long lasting BT020 to the hardcore track tires Pirelli DC.. etc

I think its more of a touring tyre, so therefore provide lesser grip compared to racing tyres?

 

Harder tyre tends to have longer life span ( mileage in this case ) but it loses on the "grip".

 

Softer tyre has better "grip" but shorter life span ( mileage ).

 

E.g If bt020 covers 40000km be4 tyre change, perhaps racing tyres ( any soft compound ) perhaps only half the mileage.

Nope, mine 020 too. But saw someone at HL doing his 3k servicing with me. His 07 model but different tyre. Can't really remember what tyre was that, but definitely not 020.
