i hate to burst your bubble hulk, but i would advise not to hold your breath. in the 80s and 90s there were hypercharged bikes (600cc) sold by the 4 major japanese companies but none came here. i doubt these supercharged bike WILL land on our shore --regulation and other obstacles will surely win the day

No need to cross fingers... the ADs will not be bringing it in.... unless you pre-order.... even then the insurance for such bikes will be super expensive.... just like last time in the 80s as Mr Biker has mentioned....

Going somewhere isn't why I ride... riding is why I go..

Track-only version, the H2R reportedly makes close to 300bhp out the factory.

Street-legal H2 not yet released.

Even comes with wing(lets) for flight!

Personally, IMO, the look of the bike does not make a strong visual statement, unlike those turbo bikes in the 80's....

Whoa... Total respect Bro.....

I wouldn have the balls to throttle one, even tho my mag says the electronics cleverly prevent unwanted wheelies and slides. Heck i'd admit even a stock NA 1000cc carries way more power than I can skilfully use.

Can I ask the machine price?

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

I went for a test ride around my shop premises. Gotta say when the supercharge kicks in, you better be holding on to your handlebars firmly.

Price wise OTR is about $55-56k.

Think my friend's friend bought 1 too...

May I ask from which shop? & also would be great to see him here too! :thumb:

frankly on a supercharged 1000cc kawasaki, if all you need to do is grip the bars firmly, considered good liao. everybody expects the bike to wheelie-and-flip or slide and spit you off.

yeah the price is about wat i tot it would be.

fuel consumption after run-in i wonder also. coz now i wonder if manufacturers could supercharge lower capacity bike to make it go faster without adversely affecting fuel consumption.

The bike is equipped with the necessary technologies to keep the bike down. The seat is also designed like a race car's bucket seat to keep you firmly on the seat and not slide backwards during acceleration. The rear support is adjustable. Can slide forward & backwards to accommodate diff rider size. Due to the power this bike has, its the reason why the bike is a single seater. Strictly no pillion.

i'm not surprised, i really believed at least 1 H2 will approve and arrive, see got people buy anot only.

the fact is in today's context, factory-fitted equipment on road-spec vehicles are likely to be approved by LTA. thus i already believed a factory-fitted supercharger on a bike will have no problem. we already have legal cars with factory-fitted turbos and superchargers. try getting an aftermarket turbo or supercharger or NOS for approval, you might as well use the turbo system to bang against the wall.

factory-fitted road spec is the key.

Yeap times have changed & technology is getting better & better. LTA requirements are simple. As long it does not exceed the noise level & emission standards, they're fine. :thumb:

Your average 600 supersports is too fast for the roads here let alone a super charged liter.

Sometimes its not just about speed. Its about owning something very very exclusive.

i quite agree.

and yet i never regretted for a single moment buying and owning a 600cc supersports for seven years. it was worth every single cent simply because of the stupid grin behind my full face every time i rode it.
