Side mirror clip another car's side - need advice

Hi fellas,

 

Was squeezing in between cars as there was a jam earlier on, heard a clip and i looked around, didn't notice anything and continue riding, thinking it was just the carabiners on my bag hitting each other.

 

On the expressway, when i was about to lane change, then i realize my side mirror was a bit off, as usual, adjusted it and continue. However, after some thoughts, i decided to check it out after i arrive at my destination, and true enough, there was a small scratch at the back of my mirror. Best guess is I might have clip another car's side mirror.

 

How am i going to go about with this issue ? Make a police report ? Will it be counted as hit and run ?

Knocking on a car's wing mirror when you lane split is clearly your fault. However it is unlikely you did any damage to the car (or the car owner would have honked at you or chase you down like the Ferrari vs S4 case). Since you got away with it, just be careful next time. No need to make any report or make it a bigger deal.

Just act blur and go. Car mirrors are foldable so likely it'll just bounce back into place. Maybe a bit scratched but wat to do...some ppl purposely squeeze bikers like ive experienced before so maybe a punch on their mirror is smthg they may deserve. Heeeeee

Thanks for the reply, yep, i know it's my fault, it was a jam, so the driver might not have a chance of chasing me down. Asked a friend of mine who have been in spf for years and he told me not to worry as it wasn't an accident, just wait, if there's any letters or fines, just pay. Will be careful in future, thanks once again.

Hope that's what happened, probably getting cussed by the driver for being an inconsiderate rider, if only i knew i hit the car, would have just stopped by the road side and settle on the spot.

Wa, you hit a lorry's side mirror ? Your bike must be high or you're damn tall, at least you know that you hit something at that moment, i didn't even know till like 5 mins later.

I hit, checked around, didn't notice anything wrong, so just continued, 5 mins later, see side mirror slant then thought of it.

Recently some riders also hit my side mirror, when bike is parked, cause they hit my left mirror, didn't even realize till i needed to lane change left
