First easy cheap mod to do on a supermotard..... change to aftermarket handlebars which are stronger and lighter, and look good too.

PM me if you are interested. Price $130 non negotiable. Cheaper than Aunty's shop. (If you know about ProTaper bars, you will agree). Will reply you guys on Friday when I get back to Singapore.

Need help...

My cousin ridin the DRZ-400 SM and he asked me to change oil for him as he's offshore. Wat is the rating of the engine oil and how many litres per oil change?

Appreciate the time to answer my queries...

you'll need 1.7 litre if not changing the oil filter.

If you are changing the oil filter, add 100ml to make it 1.8 litre.

it is advisable to use at least 10W-40 engine oil for your cousin's DRZ400SM. you can use 5W -50 ones as well..

As the machine is pretty new, you should use fully synthetic oils

if you got the $$$...guess thats the best you might wanna do for your bike....but too frequent "opening" of engine might not be so good as well.......guess just have more frequent oil change and hear or feel your bike for abnormal signs before really taking your engine apart....especially lost of compression or sound/noise of "looseness coming from the engine then decide to "open" your engine

:goodluck:

For someone who rides on the track most of the time on the SM, I dare to to tell you that the DRZ400SM has one of the toughest engine I have ever come across.

I tend to ride with the throttle pegged at full bore on the tracks and only using 4th and 5th gears in PG.

I just do an oil change every 2000 km. My DRZ in SIngapore has 12,000 plus km and the one in USA has 5,000 km on the meter. Most of the mileage is clocked on the tracks. :thumb:

Hi all. Let me just introduce myself. I am new to this forum and i am currently taking my 2B license right now.

Through my friends, i realised that the kind of bike that i wanted was called a Motard.

I'm NOT really into going on track and stuff. I just like its looks of it and find it a very cool looking kind of bike. Now the issue is i am still very new to the biking scene therefore I need help from you guys.

Should i get a already made MOTARD or a scrambler and then mod into MOTARD ? Of course piority will be the cost of it. Not too expensive though.

Which brand should i look at ? Suzuki ? Aprilla ? and where in Singapore can I drop by to know/see more of such bikes ?

Forgive me if i ignorant. I am completely new to the biking scene.

I see alot of you guys with drz ... what is that may I just ask ?

Regards

Don

well first of all! theres no legal motard for 2b other than the aprilia mx125 n the cagiva supercity. and if u convert, u might get fined. i repeat, MIGHT.. and also, u can take a look at the legal 2b motards at MAH Pte Ltd. i dono abt the cagiva supercity. kinda hard to find. and wat many of the fellow motard riders say..

u can do but don get caught.. or smth like tht. haha!

cheers
