my mum cantonese so i can speak some simple d .. too chime cannot make it le lar ..

my mum is khek, my dad is hokkien...but both of them speak in cantonese...

 

hokkien to natural to quite a lot of us...so i didnt have to learn from my dad...

 

cantonese is something i learnt over the years although im not cantonese..

 

went to guangzhou....spoke to my hairdresser for 3 hours of solid cantonese..was a real struggle..

 

then i knew my cantonese was not up to scratch...

i know of some people who can speak 6 dialects! amazing! & some of them are not chinese mind you...
