guys...wanna get a rjay full face helmet however having a budget of around $200...what are some of the models you would recommend?...

Apart from striker which i see that you all rate it as quite good.

striker is the latest model, and features are the best compared to previous GP1 fugitive and GP1 racer. u can compared them on http://www.rjays.com.au

Erm, I told my wife it was pink and she said its new shade of blue. To which I said its called pink.

Erm, I think so. The young chap at Regina let me do a hand-weight test on the matt-black & pink design. I felt the design ones are significantly heavier. The matt-black ones felt the same as the GP1.

weird. wonder why the design ones are heavier than the plain ones? :giddy: :giddy:

well, thanks for introducing the helmet bro wildcard.

striker design one is abit heavy but once u put on, i dont feel the weight, it's equally distributed.

(it's heavier than my previous airoh helmet).

and i dont feel tight nor headache.. very comfortable.

ears position is comfortable, not rolled nor stuffed, but very quiet. :thumb:

cheekpads and cushions are not ordinary cotton, smthin like antibacteria material, i hope they will last longer too :)

only that XL shell is bigger than my previous helmets (hope i dont look like astronaut).

i tried to test the vents on top and they works well (closed first, ride off, speed about 80-100, i opened the vent) and i can feel the air coming in.

though i like the design, my gf doesnt approve it.. hehe, she said it's fierce and doesnt match my bike..

anyway, it's value for money and satsfy with it too.. :)

went to regina to test the helmet few weeks back and i found it heavier than my current airoh helmet too. luckily regina has my size (XXS) :cheeky: :cheeky:

You should be able to get the Striker for around that price & the Fugitive GP1 for even less.

But the striker would be a better choice. Snell-approved means you are getting a value-for-money helmet that will provide ample protection.

Regina is selling the tinted visor for strikers.

Just went to try the Rjays Striker at Regina.

After wearing the helmet, I have difficulty wearing my specs as it doesn't really fit back on top of my ears and the nosepad also couldn't sit on the area on top of my nose. Anyone also met with this difficulty?

Does all fullface have this problem? Cos' I'm contemplating to get my first fullface helmet soon!

I think its not meant for it.

I can feel the cheekpads are a tight affair. Have issues fitting in a pair of earphones meself.

So you mean those wearing glasses is not suitable for Rjays Striker? (Damn, I bought an Oakley recently too...)

Well, I guess I'll have to source for either other brands or other designs then.

Is Regina/LAB the official distributor for Rjays? The Striker helmets do look nice especially the black one with the monster design. So how much is it exactly? I'm considering between this and Airoh TR1. Advise(s) anyone?

a few thing to consider before u getting airoh,

-cheekpads not removable

-no vent for cooling though noisy from windblast (may be their mouth piece is weirdly shaped)

-outershell is smaller so looks good if u are small size person.

though nice design and comfortable hemlet. i just changed from airoh to rjays. and satisfy with it.. :)

I'm currently using the Airoh Matthisse. Yeah, it is kinda noisy especially when I use it for touring. Overall, nice outlook and satisfying. Maybe I should try the Rjays Striker this time. How much does it cost exactly?

yes they are related.. however LAB doesnt have the pink model.. only Regina does. Regina quoted me $240 at first, i only get $220 after bargaining.. didn't bought it tho :cheeky:

absolutely right.. design wise, very nice & unique.. but the downside its noisy to use for touring.. i had a friend who only used it for 1 trip & sold it off

hence am i right to say that if you wanna get a touring helmet, the striker is definetly not the one to get...but what if i am using it on a almost daily basis where i travel to and fro work and sometimes on outings, would it be good to get it?
