thing is, now even the workshop cant get the illicit bikes to pass easily liao..

sianz...

ya hope someone else can do it at other inspection center and share the outcome also...anyway reinspection is FOC if u pass all the other main test...

dunno muz see lor...but the inspector and chief inspector say cannot muz fail...so now their stand is this, not stock fail....except for horn....jeez...someone can confirm for the sake of the others??

esp those with aux light and whatnots...

i still got 1 yr to D-Day leh..

Bump for informative thread.

Anyway i just went for inspection yest at AMK JTC, they had a printer problem and the whole process took more then 20mins instead of the usual 5mins. Anyone who is thinking of going there might want to call them and check if the printer problem has been fixed anot first before going down...

Hi guys may i know what happens if my numberplate light is gone? can pass inspection? if cant then how much does it cost to fix it? the entire fixture is missing from the numberplate bracket...

you'll need that in order to pass inspection.

new piece, nt sure if still got stock, may cost $100+/-, comes altogether with the number plate holder as a whole set.

but you try can sourcing from bikeshops as sometimes they would salvage re-usable parts.

check yr bulb 1st, is it blown? if blown, replace bulb.

headlight connector to check also if gt defective or not.

next is the left hand side switch assembly, see if any wire dislodge or not.

best to gt yr trusted mech to hv a review.

yah its a bit like lining, but the whole plate is like in a chrome casing that has a window to see the numbers on the plate.. something like this: http://www.hognutz.com/license-plate-taillight-brackets-accessories/692/

Hi guys. Been riding my phantom for close to 5 months now. Due for inspection (by 5th May) but want to know if i'll be able to pass. I got into an accident in Jan and did some modifications to my damaged bike.

1) Fuel Tank - Changed to Honda NightHawk 250 tank as the stock tank was damaged from the accident.

2) Bullet Headlight - Changed after the accident as the stock one was damaged.

3) Rear plate light is gone and have yet to replace it. Can pass without it?

4) Drag Bar - Changed when i just got my bike. Not much change in riding posture though.

Please advise. :)

I tink shouldnt hv problems for the tank. Rear license plate light is a requirement so I suggest get that fixed. But drag bar and headlight is really a grey area. Is see luck and inspector one.

HI, can post some pictures on how you mod the speedo to the front of the bike? Like to see what options I could have to mod my present vehicle. How much is the capacity of the nighthawk tank?

Hey, this is what i have for now. Will take a better picture soon. The Nighthawk tank cap is about 16L plus reserve.

Can I ask how much you paid for the tank and modifications? Where did you go to have the tank fixed?

Total mod cost me about close to $500. Headlights, handlebars, horn, fuel tank, paint job for fuel tank, iu relocation, speedo relocation and also exhaust wrap. Everything done at aunty shop at ubi.

Just to add on, inspection passed. Renewing road tax tomorrow!
